The setting at Antonio Marras could not have been more appropriate. Garage Milano was transformed into an afternoon teatime wedding reception. Each table had a fondant cake in pastel colors and each guest seated was served coffee (so technically it’s actually an afternoon coffee reception).
As everyone enjoyed slices of the cake and sips of coffee served by “French maidens (their skirts had a more conservative length), Marras sends his models down the runway in what seems to be clothes from a modern fairytale era.
Spring prints, bouclé fabrics, fantasy tweeds, damasks in different colors and textures with Swarovski crystals were sewn together with golden thread.
The leather bags were small, shaped like elongated triangles that are very lady- like. There is cohesion in the collection– all these fabrics came together to form Marras’ beautiful SS2013 clothes– with a fairytale ending, naturally 🙂
