Mega Magazine’s Pinoy Pride Ball

Last night was the Pinoy Pride Ball of Mega Magazine which was held at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel Rizal ballroom. I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it to this event because of my kids– we were originally heading out of town on Sunday afternoon but ended up in Manila, allowing me to attend 🙂 And I really wanted to attend because I’ve always been fond of Mega Magazine, especially after Sari Yap took over as editor-in-chief once again.
Sari looked fantastic!

The Mega Magazine team greeted me as I entered the ballroom– they’re so friendly and oh-so-stylish!!

Highlights of the party included performances by the Musikito Orchestra

Musikito orchestra! Little kids, blindfolded! And they played soooo well!!
And the new Panata or Pledge *or is it Promise?* (a version written by Mega Magazine’s Meryll Yan) read out by Philippine actor DingDong Dantes
Thanks MaluF for this photo! Love!

I had to pull off that outfit at the very last minute (we’re talking 3 hours before) and managed to pair my Roberto Cavalli jacket with a Carmen Reyes skirt! Thank goodness my Roberto Cavalli jacket did not pop open or else, scandal!!! Hahahaha (someone would’ve seen a boob hahaha OMG *censored*). I wore my Dauphine starfish necklace as well as this huge-ass ring 🙂
See the octopus? Hehehe. Ginormous ring, yeah? 🙂
And for that Filipino touch, my Celestina abalone shell clutch
It can fit my camera and mobile phone! I love this clutch!!
I have to super thank Shu Uemura’s Cindy Pineda (at Rockwell Power Plant Mall) for also accommodating me for makeup at the very, very last minute. I seriously don’t know how I pulled it off last night, but I did somehow. Thank goodness 🙂
What a wonderful night! Congratulations to Mega Magazine! I am excited to see greater things happening to them– going digital and having a TV show in ETC!!! WooHoo!!!
