LUNCH! Cantonese Festival at the Mandarin Oriental Manila

I had the most wonderful Cantonese cuisine lunch yesterday at Mandarin Oriental, Manila. Three of the award- winning chefs from Super Star Restaurant in Hong Kong are in town and have been cooking up exquisite dishes for Tin Hau. And I must say, dining yesterday at Tin Hau was like dining in Hong Kong 🙂

Lobster with pomelo and raisin salad. Very, very refreshing to the palate!

Stonefish! Cooked two ways– MUST HAVE 🙂 This is the specialty dish of Super Star Restaurant. And now that the chefs from that restaurant are here, you don’t need to fly to HK to enjoy this dish 🙂

Yummy vermicelli noodles 🙂

Three kinds of mushrooms– this has to be one of my fave dishes. It’s not fattening 🙂 And it’s very flavorful!

Excellent egg custard with dried scallops and shrimps!! This was the favorite dish of 2 of my friends 🙂

And then we ordered all sorts of dimsum 🙂

Penguin- shaped dimsum 🙂 It’s tooooo cute to eat! But when we did, it was SO gooood!!

Rabbit dumplings!! That’s my birth sign, rabbit 🙂 These were very authentic Cantonese dumplings 🙂

This jelly has chrysanthemum and berries on it. It was sooo refreshing and sooooo good– I highly recommend this!!! It’s so perfect for summer!

And then the bees 🙂

Rabbits again 🙂 They tasted like marshmallows 🙂 A perfect ending to our meal!

And of course, what’s my lunch without bag talk? Here are 2 of my friends who came to lunch– carrying the same, exact bags 🙂 Hermes birkin 30cm in size, colored bougainvillea 🙂
Peeps– the Cantonese festival at the Mandarin Oriental’s Tin Hau is not permanent, so if you do have the time, make a reservation for a meal there. It was soooo goood and made me sooo happy 🙂
Mandarin Oriental can be reached at (632) 750-8888 for reservations.
Have a good day, everyone 🙂
