“Installment” Queen of Manila

I thought I became financially free yesterday around noon. I was good in that I decided to pay for one bill in advance. I hate having debt *oooh boy and I normally have plenty hahahah.. not proud of that haha*. It gives me that nagging feeling and makes me restless when I sleep (you know, the toss-and-turn kinda sleep). And I’m not even talking about my constant battle with insomnia here either. Usually when I finally get to sleep (being the insomniac that I am, that would be at around 3am), I fall into a nice, deep sleep. But when I have debt, ohhhh boy, I just cannot sleep well.

Sooo anyway, last night, DH decided to pickup a Wii. Yes, he finally succumbed. I had wanted one pre-yoga, but now that I had dunked in Php 5,000 for a month’s worth of unlimited yoga class (which I have been attending every other day as opposed to everyday *which was the original plan*), I no longer saw the “need” for a Wii. But hey, whatever DH says, goes. So he decided to get one in Greenbelt 4.

While waiting for his little toy, I told him I wanted to explore the boutiques below *muwahaha LV, Gucci, Bottega, Prada…* DH being the kind, considerate man that he is, said “Go ahead, I’ll just go look for you there.”

So I went down and walked the great designer halls of Greenbelt 4. Take note, I have NO intention of incurring debt. Especially since I had just bought me a new mobile phone earlier in the day– yes, I FINALLY bought a new phone (and yes, it’s another Nokia… you’d think I’d have already learned to go with another brand since ALL my Nokia phones DIE on me within a year of use, but nooooo… I went with Nokia again. I’m bad with technology so I like sticking to one operating system that I’m already used to using).

Did I tell you how I paid for my Nokia E51? By credit card, on installment, for 6 months with ZERO interest. I mean, how can I say no to zero interest, right? 🙂 So I went my merry way with a new mobile phone at hand. (By the way, my old Tresor mobile totally DIED on me a few days ago *number is still the same :D*– apparently the “firmware” *?!* got corrupted. Don’t ask me how. All I know is, the phone friggin’ died on me hahaha).

Anyyyyyway as I was saying, I walked the halls of SSI and LV 😀 And then at the very end of the hall, was Prada. I shall leave out the details on this one, but here’s what I’ll tell you– I paid for the new loot with my credit card, on installment basis AGAIN! Zero percent for 3 months!!!!

Oh.Mah.Gawd, I am becoming THE installment Queen of Manila!!! I am actually ashamed now, but oye, I am still happy because I won’t get shocked when my bill arrives this coming month.

And my, my, the loot I had to go home with. DH was only too stunned for words. But he did say this… “Not a bad deal, zero percent for 3 months for something you don’t really ‘need’ “. Hahaha.

And that was the end of my night. Short, memorable, and definitely sweet… until the credit card bills arrive for the next 6 months!! *Sob*

P.S. For MAKEUP hags out there (hahaa I thought of my old friend jencc suddenly hahaha)… I’ve accumulated so much Chanel makeup during my last trip (Paris, natch haha.. Chanel… Paris! *cheaper!*). I’ve only used about 2 of those products because I’m far too lazy to put them all on… plus I’m always late so there’s really no time to put on all that muck… And even if I did, that doesn’t really change the way I look… I’m still all blotchy and I still have uneven skin. *Ugh sad*. But heeeyyy yoga is helping my skin somehow.. I guess the toxins are coming out through my sweat hehe… Anyhoo, the one thing I was given last month by baghag MS and JM, is this Benefit Erase paste, which I am absolutely going bonkers for– because it has effectively “erased” blotchiness and my dark age spots from my cheeks!!! Of course this ain’t some permanent erasure *oh how I wish*, but this is the next best thing! Non invasive, painless… what more can I ask for? 🙂 Thanks so much for this one MS and JB. And to the baghags or makeup hags who want this, you can get it from MS at (+63917) 894-0623.

P.P.S. Someone asked for a comparison photo of the LV Aquarelle Frame Speedy and LV Aquarelle Speedy 35. Here it is 🙂 (To the anonymous comment poster who noted that the Aquarelle looked “dirty” and a little “fake”, I totally understand where you’re coming from. I first thought of it when I saw it in a photo because my point of comparison was a white LV multicolore, but when I saw the aquarelle up close, I fell in love with it. It’s not really “dirty” and it certainly doesn’t look “fake” 😀 And glad we agree that the watersnake handles rule :D) *thanks to DSIL for her “hands” in this photo haha*

P.P.P.S. TRESORIE TURNS ONE YEAR OLD on May 21!! The boutique will be having a Special CASH BREAK SALE that day for all their merchandise– preowned designer bags, accessories, and clothes. Stay tuned, but please, pencil that sale event into your calendar! You wouldn’t want to miss it!!

  3. Re: LV USA, yes LV bags are also made in the USA 🙂 They’re not fakes.

Therese: I am not selling my Chanel makeup haha. And hmm I dont think I wanna show the bag until it is paid for *hahaha… it’s paid for by installment hahaha*

MarcJulian: You are absolutely right. I have a face only a mother could love– in fact, I have said that SO MANY times! * muwahaha* (and no I never hold that against my parents– in fact, I thank my parents for that because their blessings continue to come my way! So, no angst in life there :D) I’m actually a good sport, I can stomach comments about what I look like, especially if a comment such as yours was supposed to be meant as an “insult” *yours was not the first hahaha* :). But alas, I don’t take personal jabs of others at my appearance/ face as “insults” 😀 So hate to burst your bubble there, but your comment which would’ve been meant to irk/ upset me, was all wasted ;)*

daphp: Dude,I don’t think I would know how to use all my Chanel makeup haha. And even if I did, it would still not make me look decent 😀 *maybe I’d end up looking like a 2 bit whore muwahahahaha*

mm: Nope not that I am aware of that there’ll be a Chanel store. Although there were rumors before 🙂 I will snoop around some more.

closetcase cris: You’re funny, you even know where the bag was located at Prada 😀 And oh my Givenchy … be still my wallet!

  4. Hello, just curious. How dyou manage to pay for your bags using installment?
    Allowed in singapore?

  5. Re: Bag installment, I just told the sales associate that I was going to pay by card (which meant no discount for me) and she asked me if I would like a full amount charge or a 3- month zero installment payment. I was like, hellooo let’s do 3 month zero installment! That’s gotta be the most ingenious way of paying for bags you don’t need! 😀 Although it still causes a Dent in the pocket, it’s not AS painful as if you were to pay the amount in full in one go, right? 🙂 *Baghags just began incurring debt as we speak now because of the installment payment plans hahaha (and I’m one of them!)* I don’t know though if they have that kinda payment plan in singapore. You could ask your card company 🙂 That should help!

  6. show us your loot from prada na! : ) is that erase paste like makeup lang? concealer type?

    bonbonmommy

  7. hi there Mrs. T,
I am a late bloomer and just started having interest in LV bags. Whart can you say about LV eva clutch. I know its small but I want it to be my first haha
BTW, Does Prada and other high end bag shops give discounts on cash purchases? To quote “Re: Bag installment, I just told the sales associate that I was going to pay by card (which meant no discount for me)” If they do, how much discount can I get?

  8. Hi, how do you like the E51? I’ve had mine for 3 months and I hate it. Not loving the Symbian system. I find that its not as usually smart as my older Nokias, too many extra steps to do the most basic of things.

What colour you got? I got the pale rose one.

  9. there’s absolutely nothing wrong w a PAY-LITE signature item purchase =) i do it all the time!

i love chanel make-up too!!! i use them daily!!!

i’ve a feeling your prada loot is a shoe? looks like a shoe box =)

love ya mrs T!!! you always manage to brighten up draining work days =)
