I’d never endorse an alcoholic beverage but… I can’t resist this one!

What a weekend! My Saturday and Sunday afternoons were spent lounging about in my room– rolling off the bed to go online (if I can– because internet was erratic), and rolling back to bed to take naps. I was sooooooo very tired from the Doña Consolacion Bldg 3rd year anniversary party (congratulations to the Atienza girls as well as to Marge Arellano and the 3 boys of the bldg for an excellent night of celebration and partying!).

Though my Friday (September 26) started off rather busy with Tresorie’s big cash break sale (I hardly had a second for myself to eat or take a sip of water because I had to help sell all those bags above! *gulp* over 120 bags too! ), Friday evening became delightful and pleasant.

Special thanks to Margarita King.

I mean, really. All I needed to complete my night was a nice drink, married with good food. Tresorie, Vintage Restore, and Choice Expressions Gallery joined together to provide food catering for all our clients (thank you Beyond Bamboo for lending us space!), and Margarita King provided the drinks for the whole building throughout the anniversary party/ celebration.

Now you baghags know I enjoy drinking wine (but not beer), tequila (but not scotch). And I love drinking fruit juices (anything sweet is good). I hate drinking liquor that reeks of alchohol (something that tastes like alcohol 100% by volume hahaha *rubbing alcohol*…) I remember drinking pastis and literally spewing out the contents in my mouth because it did taste like rubbing alcohol–the drink could’ve burnt a hole in my stomach lining. Literally! It was THAT potent!

So when I got offered a glass of Margarita King (mixed with cranberry juice I think), I took it. I’ve heard of Margarita King and how women love to drink this “stuff”. Women hate drinking anything that taste too “alcoholic”. So I happily obliged knowing I won’t be drinking something nasty (you know, one that would knock me out cold and not let me enjoy what the drink actually tastes like).

Forget cosmopolitans, “MK” (Margarita King) was in. This drink saved me from all that day-long stress! I was just absolutely delighted with the sweetness of Margarita King, and it warmed my stomach just right. I could have more of this, I thought to myself 🙂 I went down to Nullah where a bulk of the guests were, and the Margarita King bar was full. I was like, crud. I can’t wait for my drink.

I NEED MY MARGARITA KING!!!!! KING ME!!!

*Raging alcoholic in the baghag speaking hahahaha*

I tried the other MK concoction, lychee margarita. I loved both. DH and friends tried the other flavors, but I already had my picks and stuck to them throughout the night

Five (or was it six? *hick*) glasses later, I was completely relaxed and already enjoying myself. I managed to sneak in a few bites of yummy lasagna, and a few pieces of mango crepes (my dinner) before I continued mingling with the peeps. My night was seriously complete 🙂

For the peeps who are interested to try Margarita King, I was told they’re available at Rustan’s Supermarkets, SM Supermarkets, S&R, DutyFree. But if you throw big parties year round, you might want to go straight to the mothership (hehe) and order straight through King Me Asia Corp at 22 Jupiter Cor. Galaxy St. Bel-Air 2 Makati. Tel. (632) 751-4272/4273.

I can honestly tell you that this drink is worth it. And mind you, I’d never, ever endorse an alcoholic beverage if I didn’t think it was good or worth drinking.

P.S. Special thanks to Lucio Pua Jr., Butch Ampil, John Francis Alvarez, and Cheryl Cosim for the introduction of Margarita King to our friends and guests of Doña Consolacion Bldg anniversary party! Everyone had a great time because of your drink (You guys “King Me’d” everyone!). It was really 2 thumbs up, one that we don’t need to succumb to peer pressure to drink!! You guys also made my night!! *WooHooo*!!

*Gawd* I felt like I was the poster girl for MK. But I swear, this drink made me so HAPPY that night 🙂 I haven’t drank this much in a long time. And I slept like a log after the night was over– and no, I was not even drunk 🙂 *Pssst, I drank like a responsible adult hehehe*

P.P.S. Do not drink if you are under 21 years old. This is an adult post for today because I sorta “endorsed” an adult beverage. And if you’re a baghag over 21, please enjoy MK, but also remember to drink responsibly 🙂 *Don’t go overboard and become a raging alcoholic! :)*

P.P.P.S. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO WENT TO THE TRESORIE SALE AND THE DOñA CONSOLACION BLDG’S 3RD ANNIVERSARY PARTY 🙂 🙂 🙂
