HK travelog I: Fruitless scouting for a good bargain

Ahhh I’m back in my homeland. There is indeed still nothing like the Philippines. I love HK and all, but I still would, in a heartbeat, come back to the Philippines. 🙂 *sentimental hehe*

I was so beat yesterday so I just found myself crawling to bed without bothering to even glance at the white thing (my mac) on my desk hehe. You all know how this lil devil can stir up the demons in me (think Mrs.T sleeping at 5am because of blogging *muwahaha*).

So now that I am semi- rejuv’d, let the story of my so-called HK sojourn begin.

Yes, before you ask, I travel coach. I always travel coach because it’s just a short 2 hour flight. I rarely eat airline food on short flights *scoff*. (Read between the lines: I CAN’T AFFORD TO PAY FOR A BUSINESS CLASS TICKET and it’s too late to redeem my free mileage!!) *Muwahahaha pretentious hag!!*

Hehehe… that’s a good start right there, hags. So I practically sat on the wing of the plane. 😀 Just me and my ipod. Perfect harmony *what is this now, a cheesy coffee commercial tagline?!*

Boy I’m very glib tonight aren’t I? *Hehehe. tsk, that’s what no blogging for a few days does– it recharges those inactive brain cells to produce these remarks hehe*

Look at HK! What a beautiful day! While I would’ve normally balked at sunny weather (tsk why oh why does the day have to be so chipper? *hehehe I’m a bitter pill- taking kinda gal*), I actually welcomed the warm sunny day so I can enjoy the beautiful skyline.

On my lunchbreak at 3pm, I decided to forego food (I was thinking I wanted HK$7 dirty foodsticks but they were too far *sniff*), and just take an antacid *hehe and guess who complains of reflux and wonder why it happens!*. My lunch could not have gone without a “heavy” maincourse.

My main course being, shopping! After all, it’s friggin’ sale season in HK! Who in the right frame of baghagging mind would drop shopping to have that roast duck set lunch at Cafe de Coral *ugh drooool*?! Heck, that ain’t me *fakerrrr!!!! hehehe*. HK$40 can be well spent for a… I don’t know, maybe a DVD of Stephen Chow for my beloved DH? *snicker– HEY that’s not a pirated copy hehe* (FYI– I did end up spending $20 for a DVD for DH 😀 Seeee, you CAN buy something with HK$40, WITH change!)

So here they are!!

YSL
— yes they are on sale. No I didn’t bother going in. The Muse was still priced at over US$1,000. And I had very little time, so fug it. Besides, I refused to go into that store with little cash to burn– hey I hadn’t gotten my paycheck yet haha.

PRADA
— I just HAD to go in and check. HAD to. In case they still had that gray satin clutch *oh Gawd you have nooo idea how many people asked me to look for it in HK, so baghags, as YOU ALL wish :D* But too bad too bad!! They didn’t have it 🙁 I guess peeps in HK were willing to cough up Php 49K for that clutch! *rich rich tai tais, I’m tellin ya*

GUCCIOk, so last week I was lambasting Gucci’s bags. Then why did I go inside the boutique? Looking for a good deal, of course! I realize I don’t really own a beige Gucci monogram bag– I only have a wallet– one that’s 3 years old 😀

Hmm… I never really liked this boston bag. Too chunky for my taste I think.

It’s also Horsebit galore at Gucci. Horsebit logo everywhere– even on this bag– not only was it not enough to be printed all througout the canvas, it was also imperative to have the actual horsebit hardware on the bag 😀
My galpal ST also had wanted me to also check up on a pair of chain flats. Tsk, girl they didn’t have it 🙁 I was beginning to think they’d be a nice pair to own as well too! Blah. Gucci, thank you for not sucking my near-empty wallet dry. *guffaw*

Boy, I’m beginning to realize my HK trip was a tad bit disappointing when it came to shopping ! (yes, you can say that word…. “AWWWWW”) No good deals so far!!!

Anyway, my long day just made me drag my legs to City Super for a heavy Japanese cold ramen dinner (we are talking a HUGE bowl of noodles here!) before going home. I was way too pooped. If I were a tire that night, I would’ve been flat 😀

More on HK tomorrow peeps! This hag needs some shuteye for now.

QUICK HOLLER: I just HAVE to say this before I sleep. CONGRATULATIONS to our hot fashionista Mom Daphne Oseña Paez and her ultra cool DH PatrickP! Daph gave birth this morning to a beautiful baby girl (future bag hag) named Lily 😀
