HK food blog + then some bags

Oh my goodness, so it takes forever for me to blog these days and for that I apologize. I’ve been sorta reeling from my fall (however funny that was hahaha). I’ve actually been enjoying a blogging hiatus *heyy let’s have a blogging holiday!!* in that I was able to watch Harry Potter over the week. *Confession: it was out of humiliation that I stopped blogging–I’m sure you cant stop laughing about my fall hahahaha kidding* Darnit, I swear that event was the nimbus to my sky 😀 If I hadn’t fallen, I’d be out partying and socialclimbing *errr rrriiiight, Mrs.T can’t wait to partyyy… pffft*.

So anyway, I have officially embarked on a no-carb diet to curb the excessive amounts of body fat floating about in my body. Yes, I have body fat, no you obviously can’t see it (unless you’re my DH haha) although of course thanks to that Maidenform Flexees girdle *beauty secret revealed haha*, I found myself with a waistline *I know! That girdle got me sucking my gut in so hard that I actually felt my innards shrink hahaha*. You know how nasty it is to be eating the meat only out of the sandwich? It’s naaaasty 🙁 It’s a good thing too that I began my “diet” after our HK trip! Imagine taking out the skin of these Xiao Long Baos and spicy dumplings (of Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao at The IFC), or not being able to have the La Mian (pulled noodles) with Minced Meat *dies*and eat that together with that handpulled bread! It would’ve been gastronomic hell 🙁 *bawl!* But then there’s the drunken chicken and the fried eel.*Bawl* How I miss the food we had in HK!! 🙁

So I guess now I have to just enjoy Insalata Caprese (Tagaytay Highlands Steakhouse…yum! They used local cheese instead of mozarella) which is actually just fine as well hehe. But *bawl* I miss carbs SOOO MUCH!! It’s already been Day 4 (note to self: surprise surprise I’ve lasted THIS long).

I wonder though if I can still go and take some of those semi “exotic” desserts we had at Honeymoon Desserts. The one I had is the durian with black rice (eek rice is carbs). Cat had the mango and coconut milk while Jade had the grass jelly with coconut milk. All three were GOOOD. But I think I’ll forego my diet for this dessert. It’s real yummy– coconut milk and durian *hehe I know, aphrodisiac woowoowoo!!*

*Sigh* I think it’s better for me to channel all my energy looking at bags *natch* as opposed to talking about food, which can actually cause these nasty hunger pangs which threaten my so-called no carb diet! I’m sorta liking clutches for now. Clutches= only one hand free to eat at cocktail parties haha *even bags are related to diets now, non?*.

Chloe Ribbon Clutch. I’ve somehow gotten tired of Chloe bags. But this bag is a breath of fresh “bag” air. I like ribbon clutches, and this is no exception. I like the metallic ribbon to the black of the bag. Priced at £498.75 and available at net-a-porter.com

Roberto Cavalli Patent Leather Long Clutch in iridescent blue. I love love the color!! That plus you can slingit on your shoulder while you sip your drink 🙂 Priced at £635.78 *ouch for the price eh?* Purty color….

Ah well, I got tired after blogging about 2 bags. I must be in dire need of sugar *muwahaha*. Time to pack up and eat, eat, eat again! After all, there’s always the girdle 🙂 *muwahaha*

Have a happy weekend peeps!!

P.S. So I had dinner at my all-time fave restaurant Kuretake (same owner as Tsumura), and a blog reader Jen *who toted an LV popincourt with style too!* said hello to me 🙂 Had to greet you and your BM (beloved man hehe) here because I wanted to thank you for coming up to say hello 🙂 That was real nice of you 🙂

P.P.S. The Imelda Collection has these funky tees now! Got a tank top from them which had these quotable quotes from LadyMeldy herself: “I’m allergic to ugliness” (note to self: crap, no wonder I was itching all over– coz I’m allergic to ME! hahaha) and “Unleash the Imelda in you”. It’s such a fab idea, you have to wear one! Each tee/ tank costs Php 590. Let me know if you’re interested in it. Will post more photos 🙂
