Forever 21 Fever in Manila!

I went to a preview of Forever 21 yesterday at SM Megamall A and I was floored.
Jane Kingsu- Cheng, (who happens to be an old schoolmate as well as an old work colleague of mine :D) the Marketing Manager of the brand, informed me to expect “great things”. Jane was not kidding. Again, let me say this– I was floored. Forever 21’s a brand I “almost” grew up with. I remember their store opening in our local mall in San Francisco. I remember hoarding tees, jeans, and dresses. A few years later (ok perhaps nearly a decade later hahaha), the brand lands in Manila.
Years may have passed but each time I am in San Francisco, I still buy their jeans. Priced at $19.99. And then another pair which I snagged on sale for $9.99. Designer jeans are so over for me  *and that’s for ME alone, I don’t speak for everyone else here :D*, although I did get my money’s worth because I wore those designer jeans I had to death haha. In this day and age of financial uncertainty, I’d rather spend my money on good designer bags and good bling which would have a more “lasting” monetary value, given the opportunity to choose. So clothes can’t be too expensive– at least not the clothes I wear on a daily basis (I’d still like to save up for a few designer frocks here and there once in a while).
So without further ado, I give you “bits and pieces” of Forever 21 🙂

I am getting this pair of shoes.

By hook or by crook. I’m in love with them because they look gooooood! This pair happens to be priced at Php 1,638.50 *I don’t need to lust for the Miu Miu platforms anymore hahaha, I will be more than satisfied with this pair!*

I tried them on– I just HAD to! 😀

Florals are always in season for me 🙂 It’s not like we have autumn or winter here in Manila, so yes, florals all the way! Php 1,018.50
The very fine details on one of the skirts I saw. Forever 21 does not make disposable clothing, that’s for sure!
So you love Herve Leger and Max Azria but can’t afford either brands. The bandage dress has just become more affordable 🙂
If you don’t fancy clothes, then hang out at the accessories “corner”. Not exactly a corner, but you get what I mean!
Any nightowls out there? This is a perfect necklace for me because I’m always wide awake at night more than I am during mornings 🙂
I need these stands. They’re too cute!
Buttery soft and functional. Bags in Forever 21 are worth buying and are great for everyday use.
Must- buy for your kids *or hey, you can use this too!* 🙂 Super cute cross-body bag, but it’s as small as a real school “pad paper”.
While I was there, I ran into the super cool girls of StyleBible.Ph
Congratulations on your site’s new look, girls 🙂
The team who assisted us– Vicky, Forever21’s store manager, and  Dixie Li, the overall merchandising head *Am so proud of her! She also happens to be an old schoolmate :D*
So sad that Jane wasn’t around yesterday 🙁 — she was back in their head office working on a lot of the last minute details and preparations for the “big day”.
Remember the date, peeps. It’s July 2, 2010— Friday. Make sure to troop over to Forever 21 in SM Megamall A, 2nd floor.

Your money will go a loooooong way– I can guarantee that!! 🙂

P.S. Sorry if the photos are a little too yellow– I began playing with my friend Claude’s Nikon DSLR and still haven’t gotten around to learning its settings. But I’m loving the Nikon so far 🙂
P.P.S. Stay “tuned” to my blog– TOMORROW is the FIRST of a series of my birthday month contest!!! 🙂  You will love the prizes! So excited!! 🙂
