First Look at the Hermes FW 2013 Bags!

There may not be a lot of bags that came down the Hermes show runway this evening, but the bags definitely did make me swoon. This season Hermes is bent on highlighting the house’s exceptional leather craftsmanship hence the more subtle hardware on the bags.

The crossbody bag looks very functional– there is an external pochette attached to it, and it is detachable as well (it looks like it can be worn as a clutch and… yes, as a belt bag :D). Very clever integration of the clutch/ belt bag,  and the crossbody bag. It is definitely something that every traveller would aspire to have!

The classic duffle is fail-safe. This season, Hermes really put the focus on the leathers (exotic croc skin in this case). The duffle is clean and is one bag that will certainly age well and remain ageless for more generations of use.

The oversized clutch– it’s actually not so oversized but is certainly much larger than the usual evening clutches that we’ve been so accustomed to seeing in the past, is functional, and again, clean, with the leather and the actual craftsmanship taking centerstage rather than the hardware (hence the absence of visible hardware).

Collection review to come soon! I had to get the bag photos out to share with you all 🙂 I was THAT excited!

Meanwhile, here is the final walkthrough video where you can catch a glimpse of the bags as well:
