Finally after almost 2 weeks of being in the Bay Area, we drove to the city 🙂 I was secretly hoping to see better stuff in the bargain bins of Barneys NY and Neiman Marcus. We only had an hour to spend in both stores because of dinner reservations *I know right, how is one hour enough time?!?!*
So it was shopping fast- food style 🙂 First stop, Barneys New York:
The sale rack in the shoe section was so small *scowls*.
I was wondering why the selection was nothing spectacular. Last year post- Boxing Day, there were so many pairs of shoes that were marked down. This year, nothing interesting at all!
At the 1st floor of Barney’s, I was treated to the beautiful and yes, very impressive selection of jewellery, but sorry nothing interesting in the bag section again. I was so disappointed– but then again Boxing Day was 2 days ago so I could’ve arrived 2 days too late ;(
The only bags on sale were a mini YSL chain bag in tartan fabric, and a purple Valentino rockstud tote. Blah.
These bags below are not on sale 🙁 No Antartic blue Celine Nano in chevre leather either *which was what I was hoping to have someday haha*

Then there is Celine’s Fall 2015 oversized shoulder bag with a knotted strap
I tried it and it was a bit heavy. It was also actually pretty awkward to carry because the bag gapes open. I think the bag looks much prettier when on the table than when carried on the shoulder.
And then a bit of Saint Laurent.
There were also a few Hermes bags on display for Heritage Auctions. I walked out of Barneys without anything and in under 30 minutes– haha a record!! 😉
