Day 1: Ginza at Night

It’s no news to me when I get called a delusional wannabe, because really, at the end of the day, I am delusional, and I will always be a wannabe and never be one who actually “belonged”.

Case in point: when it came time for us to choose a hotel for our Tokyo trip, I told DH that we better stay in a kick-bootie nice hotel so I can brag about it *muwahaha Mrs.T= delusional braggart*. But alas, while I’d love to brag about being able to afford another stay at the Cerulean ($400++/ night) *I wannabe rich haha*, we both had to face the reality that we can’t afford it a second time. *Darnit, and I thought I was really “Jackie” hahaha*

So this time, instead of bragging about our very spacious room, let me brag about the “morbid” look of our room 🙂Like death in red! Muwahaha… (ok it’s really not bad… I just made that up *evil grin*… coz I’m baaaad *and I’m hungry right now haha*)

The room was not spacious, but it was ok. You don’t wake up stretching out your arms and hitting the walls as you stretch 😀 Made me think about those capsule hotels I’ve heard about… I wonder who’s ever stayed in one of those in Tokyo… Know of anyone who has? I’d like to hear about the experience!

Anyway, our bathroom was small, and had no window-with-a- view of the city (Boy, I realized now that the Cerulean hotel room we stayed in before was really extraordinary!). BUT! We still had a heated toilet seat (although our seat this time was not padded like the last time hahaha). I guess electric toilet bowls are hotel standard in Tokyo. 🙂 Another reason why DH loves Tokyo 😀 *snicker*

We stayed in Ginza, close to all the yum-yum designer stores. During our last trip, we hardly went around Ginza because we were pressed for time, so this trip I made sure we are based in Ginza. Sadly though, this was where all the expensivo things are. So, hoooo boy, be still our wallets!

There was Mitsukoshi in the distance, Burberry, Harry Winston, Chopard, Bottega Veneta… and then there was

Matsuya, which had Louis VuittonLoving that purple Vernis alma, but *sigh* the discoloration tendency is just too much a problem to ignore. That epi alma in psychedelic purple continues to haunt me… but I mustn’t succumb *unless I have a benefactor haha… tsk sad.*

Dior. Hello, do these bags look very Miu Miu/ Prada?
Fendi’s monogrammed tote (very Neverfull- St. Louis) with that handpainted Palazzo image. Very Goyard!

And then of course, Chanel. I’m loving that Union Jack quilted bag. It’s something I wouldn’t mind owning (since I’d love to speak the Queen’s English, get the chance to wear a nice Philip Treacy hat to Ascot, and sip tea during an afternoon shopping spree at Harrods or Selfridges… tsk *pretentious bastaaaaad/ Royal wannabe* hehehe)

I had to stop and take a photo of the Hermes building *with ice cube- like all-glass facade*. There was a 24 hour security guard there so I couldn’t really come near and take photos of the shop window 🙁 🙁

After walking around to get to know where we will be staying in for the next few days, my stomach growled. I was hungry. What’s Mrs.T without food? A seriously grumpy Ol’ Fart!!! 😀

Lotteria was the only fast food (burger) joint that was open, so we hurried in. Lotteria’s like a local McD’s. But I was a tad disappointed. I ordered the W burger *double cheeseburger*, and it was SMALL!!!! But boy oh boy, look at the grease gleaming on that burger 😀 It was really yummy, grease, cholesterol and all. I loved the fries too. But the macha latte wasn’t great because it was too watery.

The bill:
Y 1,450. (Php 625 for 2 burgers).

Expensivo. I was tempted to order another burger but when I asked DH if he wanted another one, he said he was full. If I ordered one without him, I’d look like a pig in his eyes *I think he already thinks that anyway, but hey, I still hafta pretend I’m lady- like sometimes… things like these can help a marriage last longer you know… hahahaha… :D!!!*

Okie, I need to stop blogging for now. My internet connection’s going bonkers again. This is really pathetic 🙁

The adventure continues tomorrow 🙂
