I love the fact that Chanel has finally revived her old JUMBO classic flap bag.
Yes, this is the Jumbo size– like the vintage jumbo size! The bag measures 12.5″ L x 8.5″H. Quilts not as puffy, but just as good 🙂 It’s made of lambskin, but it looks tougher and seems scratch- resistant. The large CC gold hardware is lovely too– it’s actually similar to the gold color of H.Stern’s “noble gold”– it looks silver-ish in different light.
It’s available in 2 colors (at least that was what I saw)— in orangey red, and in that beautiful blue color.
You gotta hand it to Karl. I just knew the Jumbo would make a comeback 🙂 *yeah yeah*

On a different note, my Accessory Lab partner and bling designer RCV (in chartreuse) and I decided to dress up for work coz we were bored hahaha
*hehehehe ok, joke joke. We didn’t exactly dress up solely for work… more on why we dressed up soon*.
Anyway, Carmen Reyes (of 8 and a Half Clothing) worked overtime for a black dress which I ended up not wearing because the peeps who were with us that day wanted more “color”, and the plum worked better. The black dress (which happens to be similar in cutting to the plum I’m seen wearing) is equally gorgeous, and I will have to find an occasion to wear it soon (and I need to trim my carb intake so I can fit better into it hahaha… vain, vain, vain).
Then whaddayaknow! Our other girl friend, DaphP walks into Accessory Lab looking soooo gorgeous in her white dress and Balenciaga strass necklace (we covet! we covet!) .
She hosted a Lanvin event earlier in the day, and what amazed us was, she also wore a dress by Carmen Reyes!
RCV actually thought it was a Balenciaga dress! So, us being us, we ended up harrassing Carmen to make us dresses that look as gorgeous as Daphne’s 🙂 🙂

Carmen’s dresses are between 4k to 8k, depending really on material and length and how labor- intensive the dress is.
She has already made a few wedding gowns, and a lot of cocktail dresses and evening gowns. 🙂

Anon: Chanel hikes up prices every year as far as I know. I dont know though if they’ll freeze prices since economy hasnt been too good. Go for the classic jumbo flap which just came out recently.
