Celebrity Bag: Chloe Moretz Skateboards in Chanel

Back in the late 90s when most of you readers were just wee ones (haha including myself haha *in denial*), Chanel was a brand that was reserved for the more “mature” set. Back in college, I used to pore over the fashion bible in supermarket aisles and would see Chanel’s ad campaign which featured the classic flap in small size, lined up together in different colors– that was how I eventually fell in love with my 1st Chanel bag 😉 . Chanel was still trying to establish itself with the younger set of fashion lovers back then by enticing them with colorful bags in that classic signature style of the brand.

Fast forward to 2014, Chanel has become an ageless brand– both young and mature women and men profess their love for the bags of this fashion house. Case in point, young celebrity Chloe Moretz (whom I first knew of when she starred in the movie Kick Ass) slung a mini Chanel pochette across her body as she went skateboarding with David and Victoria Beckham’s son, Brooklyn.

Chanel really has come a long way since then. The bags of this brand, though increasing in price every year, continue to attract women of all ages. And even the vintage Chanel bags which not many were paying attention to just some 15 years ago, are now being snapped up left, right, and center as well.

Amazing. Simply amazing. The power of Chanel– and of Karl Lagerfeld never ceases to amaze 🙂
