Thank goodness the standoff yesterday ended peacefully (hostage situation– yep, the Philippines is once again on the world map. Boy we are becoming real famous… infamous… tsk tsk). It was really depressing and alarming that such an incident should happen when it was really not necessary– but really, it sure did open eyes and increase awareness. Anyway, I’m really in no position to make any kind of political comments here. My bottom line is, I’m just glad the children were all ok (and I say this as a mom). *Sigh*

Anyway, let’s move to more shallow topics– ones that put smiles to our faces despite all that chaos.
