Bag Reviews: Lancel SS 2013

I’m always very pleased to attend the press launch of Lancel because of my unequivocal love for all things French– and Lancel is deeply French!

The Premier Flirt, always a favorite, comes with a distinctly French signature: the Eiffel Tower. Yes, this particular piece was inspired by the Eiffel Tower!

This other Premier Flirt is inspired by the Opera Garnier in Paris. I love the puffy stitching of the actual Opera House on the leather

The Canaille is actually a beautiful surprise from Lancel– very very discreet without any logos or monograms except for the detachable chain-leather charm.

I specially like the almost- secret exterior pocket (do you see it?), and of course, the ever important opposing zippers– since there are many of you who are also left- handed and would prefer to carry this leather hobo on your left shoulder. Lancel really thinks of everything these days. This is a very thoughtful design and comes in different colors.

The Adjani is another surprise.

adjani2The design is very conservative, but in keeping with the modern times and the modern working woman, Lancel has made the bag completely functional! Look at all the pockets and zippered compartments!

adjani Now you can organize everything properly inside your bag! Goodbye bag abyss!!

And my favorite (which I had bought) is the L bag. This season the L bag evolved! There is a separate pochette which you can take out if you don’t need the extra compartment.

And the straps are detachable and adjustable too. I think this is one of the chicest little bags of Lancel. And now the L bag comes in black and tan– the perfect neutral colors! And ladies who seem to find this smaller L bag rather small can opt for the larger size– and the larger one comes with a detachable larger pouch too which can be carried separately as a flat clutch!

Such a strong collection for Lancel’s SS2013. You must pay Lancel a visit to test- drive these bags. I am a Lancel convert– in fact,  I just happily carried my Lancel L bag last night to the SMART Live More Event + Mega Magazine party (and it fit everything I needed!)
