Bag Review: CHANEL Fall Winter 2007 (Part I)

Here it is, the much awaited Chanel F/W 2007 bag review! Without further ado, here they are:

Patent Flap bag with logo. I’m honestly not too big a fan of patent leather. Black patent leather reminds me too much of my days in primary school, when we were all required to wear our uniforms with black shoes. This bag would’ve fit right in with my uniform *guffaw*. Even the time when Chanel came out with the vinyl coco cabas, I didn’t bite the bullet and join in the buying frenzy. Perhaps too, that
was because of the inevitable association with school *muwahaha hey I liked school, but hated the drab uniform*. So this bag is not for me. Another thing I see about this bag– maybe the bag might “fold” in between when it is being carried. So I don’t really recommend the bag much.

Fabric classic flap quilted bag. While I would say no to a fabric bag, I’d consider this bag for dressier occasions. I like the size of the bag, and again, I wouldn’t mind owning this piece. If you are a partying peep, then this is a good bag to have. Classic and trendy at the same time.

White lambskin quilt classic flap. Now this bag I wouldn’t have minded getting if only I didn’t already have a bag that looks exactly like it– only it’s Bally. Yes, Bally had made a bag that has the same exact quilting. I have one in silver (yeah! silver!) that my mom had given me some 8 years ago! 😀 And Chanel decided to work with that same pattern. But baghags, if you don’t have this bag yet, it’s a “get”! 🙂 I like it, especially with the contrasting patent leather (at least the patent here isn’t too much haha)

Maroon logo tote. This bag reminds me of a Sharpei. Ok, quite frankly I’m not fond of this color. It’s the same signature color of Cartier (which I’m not liking). I like bordeaux but I want the color closer to plum. Maroon just reminds me too much of the bags of old ladies *teehee my bad… sorry I just don’t like the color at all… and I’m bound to become an old lady one day, but I doubt if I’ll even use maroon by then haha :(*.

Chanel cloud quilt lambskin tote. This caramel colored puffy “cloud” quilted bag is so cute. But hmmm I’m not really a big fan of caramel or brown simply because I wouldn’t know what to use the bag with. But the bag itself is quite cute. I love the puffs 🙂 And it seems like the bag is roomy enough to use daily.
