Bag Review: Balenciaga Le Dix by A.Wang

A few days ago, I posted the newest Balenciaga bag that we will see hitting the store shelves in a few months on my instagram account.

The Le Dix is the first bag that was designed by Alexander Wang for Balenciaga. It is really a far cry from the hardware studded bags that we’ve all grown accustomed to seeing. This is really such a drastic change, one that has not exactly been as well received by our bag hags. To be honest, the bag on its own is beautiful and understated, but I think we’ve all come to expect something edgier with Wang at the helm of the fashion house.

The Le Dix is a very classic shape, something that we’ve seen at Hermes (Kelly) and Mark Cross (Scottie). Perhaps we will be expecting a return of the classic and timeless shapes once again– a sign of things to come for the upcoming collection of Wang for Balenciaga. It will get a bit of getting used to, but if Wang meant for change, then this certainly is a good jolt of a start. The question is, will our bag lovers out here be lining up for this bag the way they did with the old Motorcycle series?
