Bag Review: 3.1 Phillip Lim Small Leigh Crossbody Bag

I keep trolling a lot of shopping sites in recent nights (because of my jet lag), and I realized one thing– there is really hardly ANY bag that has won me over in recent months. Sure, there are a few good pieces from our usual roster of designers, but there was only a handful of noteworthy ones. There is so little creativity these days because so much focus has been made on making each bag commercially viable. Logos abound, because logos somehow sell. Even if they are already bordering on tacky (again sadly, this is what sells, and even I do love bags with certain logos).

One of the bags that stood out for me in the last few nights though, is this Phillip Lim small Leigh bag. I don’t think it’s because the bag is made in a bright, bubblegum (or candy) pink color, but I think it’s more about the hardware which made the bag stand out.

The bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap that allows it to be carried cross- body. It is a rather small bag, which makes it quite easy and light to carry. I admit, I never liked Phillip Lim bags (think Pashli because of all the garish hardware) but this is a welcome change.
