I had to do a double take when I saw this bag. I knew that Celine had no online retail presence, and I had not yet seen a crocodile luggage tote. This bag truly made my heart skip a beat for a nanosecond, thinking Celine was finally going to sell bags online. Boo!

Ok so the handles of the Celine luggage are “rolled” as opposed to the flat ones on the Nancy Gonzalez tote. Plus the Celine luggage envelope tote has that hardware clasp. But apart from those two, the structure is the same.
Hmm… I honestly can’t help but feel like Monica Botkier (when she saw the Kardashian-for-Sears bag collection).

How does the Nancy Gonzalez bag make you feel? Ok, so it’s one step up since it’s made of Croc, but other than that, how does it make you feel?

A copy is a copy. I think Nancy Gonzales was very sly about what she did here. She changed the basics just enough for the bag to not be a direct copy of the luggage tote, but the basic idea is still there. The proportions, the structure, the side flaps still scream Celine Luggage, though. I wonder how successful this bag will be. On one hand, it’s an option for those who can’t get their hands on a luggage (some people are saying it’s just as or even more difficult to find than a Birkin), but on the other, who wants a bag that is basically a branded knockoff of the real thing?
a bag also by 3.1 phillip lim looks like the luggage toe by celine i think the name of the bag is pashli (well, somehow it reminds me of celine)
I think they look very similar but because of the different handles and the hardware at the pocket there is a difference. The croc bag looks a bit boring IMO despite the fancier leather but than again, I don’t do exotic leathers… Prefer the Celine bag, hands down.
The NG bag is a pale shadow of the Celine design. Ugh. Gonzalez should be ashamed of her knock-off — even if it’s fabricated in croc. Plus it doesn’t look very finished; the handles in particular are so much less refined.
Honestly I don’t really mind at all if designer get inspired with other designer’s design. But of course with limit not like Kardashian’s bag.
hehhehe…feels like im carrying a croc and not a bag, not like the celine.
that is very disappointing for someone like nancy gonzalez to do that. Especially since she is also a respected handbag designer.
