Good morning everyone! Still no luck with the internet so I have to make do with blogging through my phone- photos to follow, sorry 🙁 *I occasionally upload photos through my twitter.com account, ‘thebaghag’*.
Anyway, yesterday we went to the Peter and Paul Fortress, The Hermitage museum and the Winter Palace. Let me tell you that the Hermitage Museum houses the most important works of art of our time– and perhaps of all time! We’re talking masters like Paul Cezanne, Camille Pissarro, Palo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Henri Rousseau, Edgar Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh, Rembrant, Rafael, Da Vinci, Monet, Vallaton, Marquet… These are artists I’ve only read about in books while I took up art history in college! It was really surreal.
