Another Filipina “Bags” it!


Thanks to JoanneZ-Andrada (whom DaphP and I ran into at the Samsung event), I found out about Rocio Olbes. Rocio Olbes is a very young Filipina bag designer, with a UK- based bag label (launched in 2006), Rocio. Her bags are crafted from Acacia wood material, with embellishments like exotic skins, crystals, pearls, and gemstones. Her bags are stocked in Isetan, Japan, L’Eclarieur in Paris, and was also featured recently in British Vogue *awe*.

I admire Rocio’s ability to see potential in Acacia Wood as “bag material” 🙂 These are my favorite bags among her collection:

Ladybird ClutchI adore the little ladybugs!!

Katrina Clutch. ( I call this the Jelly Belly clutch). Seriously liking this!! It’s sooo funky!!


And of course, the perfect little bag that makes attending evening events fun 😀
Rocio also has this shell clutch called Josephine.A very polished shell clutch it is. The workmanship looks great too!

Funny thing was, JoanneA actually thought I was carrying a Rocio clutch that night, when I was actually carrying a Celestina.
Looks similar, but not alike at all. Different mollusk 🙂
