Altercation Update

Hi peeps! YAY! No work today!!! *wooHoo!!!*

What a day it had been! First of all, it seems that my allergy or my acid reflux is back (muwahahaha bad girl). If it is my acid reflux, it’s due to all those late night snackings I’ve been making– I’ve been eating these really spicy potato chips (Calbee). Dangit, knew it was going to haunt me somehow. Pfffft. So, I have a lil sore throat, but nothing major that would stop me from gabbing the day and night away.

Had a great time tonight with my old childhood friends. I missed them dearly and asked to have dinner with them– everyone’s married with children now, so it’s really great that everyone’s sorta come full circle. We had two missing couples tonight, one of whom is already heavily pregnant with Baby #2 🙂 Thanks for an awesome night, Dina, Fred, Lynette, Allan, Eunice, Jayvee, Jayson, Jo, Kel, and Jeff 🙂 *I really hope I get to see these peeps more often soon!*

Anyway, I’m here to talk a little about my post yesterday about Mr. Photographer. He didn’t contact me yesterday about the incident– I had to call his editor to tell her all about it. The editor just basically apologized yesterday as I told her that I had to file an incident report with our building administration to clear our name (because the incident involved our “guest” and the building personnel). But today, his editor attempted to get some things straight with me, and asked me why I had to blog about yesterday’s incident.

To answer that question, I was actually waiting last night for Mr. Photog or the editor to give me a call/ or at least a text to explain their side of the story when the incident happened late in the afternoon. I don’t know if they realized that what happened would reach my ears or not. But anyway, I waited for an answer especially as I had already informed the editor about the incident. I got no phone call back or text about it. All I got from the editor then was “Pasensya na ha, pasensya na ha” answers when I had called her to inform her about it.

Today’s a different story, And this, my dear friends, is a piece of good news.

Mr. Photographer contacted me via text this afternoon.

He basically apologized to me about the incident, which was considerate of him (although he really didn’t do me wrong, personally, so an apology to me was not so necessary). I did tell him that the apology should go out to Manong. *Boy why am I becoming a mediator here? Because I hate chaos, I hate conflict… so kick my bootie, I’m a crusader*

Anyway I advised him to straighten things out with Manong. I will be around to hear him out. So he said he will be dropping by Thursday to meet up with me and Manong. He had informed me that I didn’t get my facts straight (or I didn’t get everything right), so let’s see how that goes.

I did mention that I do want this straightened out and that we all want to have a happy ending (corny as that may seem hahaha), but hey, who wants conflict, right? Sooo I will reserve my final judgement on this case until the day he comes and meets with us all. But I’m glad he made the effort to contact me so he can straighten things out.

There are always two sides of the story. And I’ve heard one side. I think also because of this blog, he came forward to ask me to listen to him, so that he may air out his side. I’m willing to give him that. After all, I try to be fair too (even if sometimes DH thinks I get a little biased, much to my consternation).

But again, I will try to be fair. I will try to remember everything that happens that day. (Methinks, bring a tape recorder like a journalist…. boy do I have a lot of time on my hands or what?! hahaha) After all, I don’t want to ruin an upcoming photographer’s reputation because of such an incident, so I think the guy has a right to explain what happened from his point of view too. And I need to publish his side here. Again, though I did say (and will continue to say) that I do hate people who power trip, I will reserve judgement on this until I can confirm what was said and what really transpired.

All I have heard so far were testimonies from 3 people, whom Mr. Photographer said, happened to be the “drivers and friends of Manong Chief”. And that was the information I used to write about it on my blog.

Let’s see. We all like happy endings, so hopefully this one spells a happy ending.

(Boy after this mediation, I should work for the U.N. or something. *Muwahahaha*.)

Have a good holiday, peeps! And I will try to enjoy mine 🙂 Hopefully after this brouhaha, I get to blog about bags again!! 😀 I mean, look at what we’re missing!!

Prada Top Handle Petunia Tote. Only US$1095 (well, compared to all those $2k+ designer bags lately, this is actually cheapER) 😀 Loving the color too. It’s in that back-to-basics style and yet so very, very attractive 🙂 Available at neimanmarcus.com
