I’m letting my designer bags take a breather this summer. I think it’s time I carry a lighter (physically lighter, and financially lighter haha) bag.
I’ve been loving Longchamp bags for some time now. They make the perfect alternative to your overused designer bag. They’re lightweight and are very compact. But there’s also a new brand (it’s a pretty old brand, but I’ve just discovered it, so that makes it new– to me anyway) alternative to Longchamp.
Baghags, let me introduce you to Hervé Chapelier bags. These are very nondescript (something that’s perfect to carry during this financial crisis hehe), basic bags that are also made of very lightweight material similar to that of Longchamp.
I’ve been carrying a Yellow/ Purple combination (I know, gotta have that combination– it’s so summer, non?) of this exact style lately,
but here are my other picks:
I know, camou? Me? Yeah, because there’s that pink strip and those pink handles 🙂
This bag style reminds me of Prada, but this bag is wayyyy cheaper. I think I’ll adopt this one.

I’m not saying that premium designer bags are bags of the past (the day I say that is the day I cease to be a baghag haha, so I’m not one to betray my own kind hahahaha). I’m just saying that summer calls for bright, lightweight bags that won’t break your backs.

Louis Vuitton Collection Plage Cabas Ipanema are cool and almost similar. Comes in 4 different colours.

I’ve been one of your recent followers..no, I’m addicted to your blogs (note: not obsessed, I’m no stalker! :D)…I saw a couple of herve chapelier totes at TJ Maxx recently. One of them was the same size as your tote and the other one was smaller. They’re both priced at 20 buck$ each(clearance!). Wala lang, just thought I’d share…
