View from The Back Row: Rajo Laurel’s Rajo Red!

DCV and I got a table for the Rajo Red Gala at the last minute but were pleasantly surprised that we had good seats despite our being all the way in the back of the elevated area (Thank you TV and VL for making the extra effort to ensure we had an unobstructed view :D!)

I remember attending Rajo‘s first ever fashion show in collaboration with the PMAP models– don’t ask the year, but I remember it clearly still– it was held at the GSIS building all the way off Roxas Blvd, and it rained in the middle of the show. I remember Apples Aberin and Marina Benipayo “floating” in their gowns, and it only made me wish I was as graceful as they. *Tsk, longshot!*

Anyway, I’ll post photos of who went to the Rajo event in another entry (it was VERY well attended). The photos of the fashion show are hot off the camera, and are pretty complete! *I think I missed only 2 or 3 dresses*. Photos are published in the order of the show itself– so it’s like you were there with me 😀

No serious commentaries from thebaghag because I’m no fashion pundit. Besides, the collection was really beautiful overall. But let these photos speak for themselves 🙂

*I looove this* (Front and back view of course)

I want this gown! Not coz it’s purple (although it doesn’t hurt hahaha), but because it’s just so beautiful!! Look at the details in the back.

I can also see me wearing this gown
Liking this too… because of the back detail I love these Japanese-y prints…
Exotic skin on this dressNice!!

OOoh lookie– Rajo used D! Luxe earrings on his “bride” 🙂 🙂 🙂
The Young Master takes a bow
The men and women who labored hard to make this collection for Rajo were also feted 🙂 *The lab coats were so very Chanel :D) It was so nice of Rajo to credit these men and women. He’s got such a kind heart.
The master and his muses:
Hope you enjoyed looking through these photos. They’re as comprehensive as it can get– my hands were sore by the time the show was over 😀 (My arm was the camera’s tripod haha)

Enjoy and I hope you too, find inspiration in Rajo, just as I did!

CONGRATULATIONS, RAJO!!!

  1. Those are some pretty nice dresses, and I agree with the ones you liked, they really stand out. Rajo is slowly taking over the fashion world, he’s everywhere! With cakes and linens, from tv to magazines to rtw lines, he’s really up there now =D

  2. wow! ang galing talaga nya! he’s my 2nd choice after joe salazar (RIP)for my future wedding gown. i love it that he gave credit to those who really worked hard for turning his sketches into reality =)

i also love the 4th one you liked!

love the falsies, makes the gowns/dressess more dramatic.

  3. hi mrs. t. been a regular reader of your blog for a while now – a lurker though, to be honest. a friend introduced me to your tresorie multiply site and have found drool-worthy stuff from d’luxe. do you mind if i post some of them on my blog? all pics will be credited accordingly of course. thanks. 🙂

  4. Thank you for coming and thank you for the kind words! I was not able to see the show as I was in the back! Because of your photos I could now see the clothes on the ramp. What a really humbling experience.
    Thank you again!
    RAJO!

  5. Rajo is the new Cristobal Balenciaga, Yves Saint-Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld, Vivienne Westwood, Thierry Mugler and John Galliano, all combined in this most amazing and profoundly talented artist.

His work are precious jewels which are to be markedly admired and treasured.
