Vegas Travelog Day 2 (part 1): Mrs.T and DM’s shopfest!

The Spectacular sights within the Caesar’s Palace Forum Shops is already enough reason for me to not go outside during the day (stifling heat, no thanks!). The new “wing” they built to house more shops is just breathtaking. But we had to go out and explore the newer side of town. Our trip this time concentrated on the other side of the Strip– where the hotels Bellagio, Caesar’s, Venetian, Treasure Island, Mirage, and Wynn are. More importantly, we had to go to the mall– the Fashion Show Mall (which houses department store giants like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s (Home), Nordstrom, Macy’s, and Dillards.

I first set foot in Bellagio after taking the footbridge (which also offers a nice view of the Eiffel Tower :D) — Bellagio shops are where where all financial evil lurk *hehe*. Was I treated to a sight or what?! Hermes has a black box kelly and a vert anis kelly (28cm). But no, no birkin. There is the large Paris- Bombay bag though. Nice and conservative. But not my style.

Then there’s Chanel. There are blues and blacks and purples and pinks! The classic quilt flap bag (2.55) is really one that bag lovers must have. It’s a classic for a good reason. The bag still looks just as pretty as when I first fell in love with it (some 13 years ago). For us pack rats, a small 2.55 just doesn’t work anymore. It’s gotta be the jumbo 🙂 But for baglovers who wish to start a “serious” bag collection, the medium classic 2.55 will do. An upgrade is always in order sometime in the near future 😀

Fred Leighton has one of the most exquisite pieces in the jewellery business. I have always loved their antique pieces (wow I sound like I buy from them, but no, sadly I can only ogle. Their prices are well, quite untouchable to the average Jane like me!). There were beautiful pearls, diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds among other pieces. It was really quite a visual feast. This shop alone would have made the “trek” to Bellagio worth it 😀

Apres Bellagio, we passed by Treasure Island, saw Venetian during the day, and went straight for Fashion Show Mall.
DM
and I made a beeline for Neiman Marcus. I love DM. She can be so excited about seeing bags, just like me. I guess I really took after her 🙂 *hehehe and that’s a good thing!!*

We saw a stunning Alexander McQueen Novak in red/pink python. It’s probably one of the most amazing bags I’ve ever laid eyes on, to be honest. I was so bowled over with the croc Novak (but price was just too much!), but this bag just really takes the cake. Python is also not allowed to be shipped to California, so you don’t see python bags there at all. This is really something else! *heart*

DM also spotted a nice pink VBH bag in python. The color is actually rose with gold undertones and is likewise quite unique. I personally think the winner (undisputed) is the Novak. Can you guess which bag DM walked away with? 😀

DM and I finally separated inside the mall after Neiman, and I was free to walk around a bit. So I just took some photos of the mall 🙂 I was here last year, but I don’t seem to recall having had the opportunity to walk the whole mall through like I did on this trip.

Huge mall! This is the “roof” of the mall. The one that’s shaped like some UFO from outside.

Heyyyy… I don’t believe what I’m seeing! Crocs now have these “boat” sliders? *Top siders hehe.. so 80’s!* Totally cute, but I’d probably be embarrassed to wear it (my feet look so big on those shoes that they really look like boats!!). But I can guarantee they’d make your feet feel so good!

Ethel’s Chocolate lounge. I’m sooo tempted to go in, but I am still finishing the chocolates that LPT got us 😀 hehe I need to lose the fat I’m gaining as I type. Chocolates are so heavenly and so deadly! How could this be?! *grumble*

White House Black Market has this nice gray leather satchel. It’s again quite a conservative design, but you can’t really go wrong with these bags. I love dove gray leather on this bag, but I am sure it can be a pain to maintain too 🙁

Talulah G was featured in W magazine some time ago (or was it WWD), and welp, now I get the chance to see the goods for myself! They stock Chloe bags and clothes, and also Lanvin bags and clothes. Sorry though, no Lanvin Kansas there, nor were there the famous Lanvin flats (I looove those flats but drat, they don’t come in my size *sniff*).

Oh Lawrd, looking through this nice furniture store made me remember my sparse living room. Oh dear. I remember when I first started out with this blog, I was out to get new furnitures for our place. Well, let me update you all then. To date, we have NOT bought any new furniture. *Gulp* coz I squandered off all our furniture fund 😀 It’s no longer a furniture fund but a bag fund *muwahahaha*. Heck, the floor is nice and clean. We don’t need chairs. We can sit pretty on the floor *guffaw* Note to self: Please inform guests to wear pants when coming to visit me. *muwahahaha bad bad bad!!*

Next stop: Wynn Hotel– the newest one on the strip.

Herein lies yet another house of Louis Vuitton. Those steamer trunk stripes are sooo Goyard (Goyard being the 1st to make them– hello they were a year older than LV). Now you know who REALLY “pioneered” the monograms 😀 *and you all know where my loyalty lies 😀 H&G (haha my own branding) *hermes and goyard*

There was a bag specialty shop which sold Bottega Veneta (oh my gosh!! Speaking of which, Bottega is launching lilac intrecciato bags!! They’re gorgeous!!). The shop also carries Marc Jacobs see that gold Stam? That’s snakeskin (or is it python). And it’s yummmmyyy…

And of course, this post would not have been complete without the jawdropping photos of Graff diamonds and jewellery boutique. Graff is synonymous with fancy colored diamonds (pinks, browns, yellows) and huge rocks *literally!!*. And the piece de resistance of this whole collection of Graff diamonds is that 30.42 carat fancy yellow diamond, VVS clarity, cushion cut. It’s the most spectacular piece of jewellery I have ever seen (since birth!!). The showstopping piece is being offered to deep pocketed peeps for a whopping US$940,000 (that’s like a nice house in Makati already– Php 45,000,000!!) Melania Trump and Paris Hilton, eat your hearts out! This rock is the mother of all diamond rings!! (Elizabeth Taylor’s 33 carat Krupp diamond is the granddaddy of all bling rings :D)

Part 2 tomorrow– we watched KA at the MGM, a nice dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant, and our trip back to SF.

P.S. So today, I went to Goyard again 😀 And as promised, here’s the photo of the really pretty Kios! It’s shaped exactly like an LV papillon (barrel), but has nice long handles which work well for shoulder carry. The bag measures approximately 28cm, so it’s a nice medium size. There are only 2 pieces of this Kios left. The other one is black with tan handles. And by the way, you can’t get this bag at Barney’s or at Harvey Nichols. So if you want it, text (+1415) 283-5591.

And here’s a great big hug to the wonderful guys of Goyard San Francisco for the impeccable service they have always provided me and the other fans of Goyard 🙂

P.P.S. Oooh guess who gets the invite to Bloomingdale’s pre-opening shopping party! *Snicker* right, here I go again, feeling VIP. Ugh. NOT! Many other peeps got invited to this too. But hand it to me, make me feel like VIP once in awhile ok? Let me brag *wink!* 🙂 Also, Burberry’s 150th anniversary celebration will be held on October 2 at Bloomies. There’s a little cocktail party, and guess who got the invite again! *ugh pathetic* This is really pathetic to brag about this haha.. I wish I can just get sent to cool junkets like chuvaness does 😀 *psst, hello there, lurker :D*
