UNICEF Auction for Action Night

What a splendid job Daphne and the UNICEF team did tonight as they launched the Ebay.ph/Unicef auction site for the benefit of underprivileged children.
Within minutes of the event, 2 pieces from the auction were sold by way of the Buy-it-Now button! There were a lot of attendees in this event (I didn’t bring my DSLR and I got complacent with my new lightweight camera that I didn’t take a lot of photos– I enjoyed myself too much hahaha! *Smacks myself hard*)
The good thing was, I really saw each item up close. Inspected them, and figured out which pieces I will already be bidding on in a day or so *first, I need to figure out what my eBay account is– it has been stale for years hahaha. Or I should just get a new one altogether, which is what some of my friends are planning to do. Anyway, I am hoping to bid when auction is about to close hahaha– I’ll be one of those bid snipers hahaha!
Here’s a look at the auction merchandise on display. (I am loving that Kenneth Cobonpue lamp, the Daphne chair, and the super cute Ito Kish bird house lamps *top right*)

Oh and Accessory Lab also donated a necklace for the auction 🙂 *I happen to be a proud owner of a similar necklace– wearing that necklace adds “life” to my otherwise ho-hum boooooring outfits :D*

I love getting together with the girls  🙂

Look Magazine’s Mel C. and Fiona A.

Our old colleague from my magazine days– can’t believe I’ve known him for almost 9 years 🙂

Metro Home’s Carlo T.

Artists who donated to the UNICEF auction were called on- stage by UNICEF special advocate for children, Daphne (who was sporting a new ‘do– we likey!)

Daphne with the very famous Philippine Glass Artist Ramon Orlina

The hosts of the event with all the auction merchandise. I enjoyed looking through everything up close!

Oh if only I could splurge, I would have gotten a lot of things. But I have a budget 🙂 *Cross fingers I’ll win*
Not only are there works of art, furniture, or jewels on auction, there are also these special “packages” which I just know some of you will be very interested in:
2. An AZKALS Dugout Experience and FootBall Kit (YES, your chance to hang out with the Philippine football team *think Younghusband brothers :D*)
What a night! To know that this auction will be benefiting children through UNICEF gave everyone in attendance a wonderful feeling. I applaud Daphne for putting all the design industry’s best together, as well as her co- ambassadors and the organizers for making this a well- attended event. It was truly successful, and I hope that UNICEF will be able to raise a lot of money 🙂 Congratulations!
Don’t forget to place your bids for a good cause! Visit www.ebay.ph/unicef now!

P.S. On a different note, my “garage” sale merchandise is already up on http://thebaghag.tumblr.com 😀  Hope you can all drop by the Tresorie Anniversary Sale + My “Garage” Sale at Tresorie on May 28, Saturday (12 noon onwards) 🙂
