Tresorie’s first appearance + Bag Review!

TRESORIE gets its very first “public” appearance (aka feature on the boobtube :D). Thanks so much to ABC 5’s PatrickP for featuring our store, Tresorie got a “lifestyle check” 🙂 I’m not exactly proud of me being on the telly, but hey, it had to be done *muwahaha Mrs.T is a frustrated on-cam reporter wannabe!!! Til I found out how “round” I looked on cam. Muwahaha eeeew. That plus no one wants to hire me. Hello… liability, remember?? :D*. I am so lucky to be able to wear what I want when we get interviewed haha. I wore Tinsley’s orange shirt with the bordeaux shorts, and topped the outfit off with a nice floral necklace from D! Luxe. The bags featured were also set against the nice pieces that D! Luxe is now becoming famous for 🙂 Once again, thank you so much to the ABC 5 guys and to their top man, PP for the feature!! This one’s for the archives of Tresorie 🙂 *wiggle wiggle*

Now let’s see what’s new in the bag world. (High time I talked about something other than myself *hehe self centered baghag wannabe!!*).

I was checking out the flickr photos of CecileVS (chuvaness) and saw this gorgeous Louis Vuitton Mirage Speedy. It’s nice to have this Pandora’s bag in something other than the usual cowhide vachetta leather handles. Black patent works so well with the bag. Loving it!! At least now you need not worry about the natural ageing of the cowhide handles of your beloved Speedy 😀 (although I actually quite like that the vachetta acquires a patina… note: even patina, not uneven). Is this going to be on our “want” list?? Good question! Derek Lam Jutta bag with chain link strap. I can’t quite understand this bag, to tell you honestly. While I see that this bag has that certain “je ne sais quois” kindofa uniqueness to it, I can honestly say that this bag is a culmination of style ideas taken from a few other designer bags– shall I name them one by one? *YES* 1. YSL muse (for that “lock”) , 2. Jean Paul Gaultier Detective Bag for that “trenchcoat” belt look, 3. Juicy Couture for that chain strap *ugh*, 4. DKNY for that zipper teeth thingie. Ok so now you can forget I said this bag looks unique. Well it does, except that there is no real originality integrated into the design. No signature of Derek Lam. If anything, a Parsons undergrad could design a bag wayyy better. Sorry Derek, but this bag is just not working for me. I may not design a bag well (heck I’m sure I’d fail miserably at producing a bag worthy of being called an “it” or an “iconic” bag), but I know what I would want to carry on my hand or shoulder. This ain’t it. Priced at US$659 (reduced from US$1,100) at eluxury.com. Hmm… there IS a reason why this bag’s price was reduced…. 😀 *mean baghag biatch mode is ON!*

Juicy Couture Emma Velour Lolita. Now this brand is one that I normally wouldn’t blog about because frankly, it’s just way too girly for me. *THUD… I. Ain’t. Girly* But I like a little kookiness and girly girl things once in awhile. I wouldn’t mind getting this as a gift because it’s cute (I’d make this into a makeup pouch… not that I ever have makeup to bring with me though haha). Ok so I’m biased. I’m into tiaras and that crown just made me like this bag. You won’t see me carrying a large Juicy Couture bag (even with the crown), but you would see me carry this if ever I choose to carry a small bag to go “grocerying” 😀 Priced at US$74, it comes in a nice gift box *even more perfect as a gift!*

Fendi Crossword Grande Net Bag. FINALLY! I’m liking something from Fendi again (The Spy was the last bag I liked). I’m sooo loving this bag. I love that the netting on the bag is trimmed in black patent leather. I love the weavework. I love the size. I love it, I love it! This is most certainly a bag that I’d see myself have. I’d probably spray this with Applegarde first before using it, but I know I’ll love it. I hope though that I’d still like it when I see it up close! Time to test-drive this baby!! If my Dearest Daddy were still with us in this physical world, he would already be celebrating his 70th birthday today and would already be happily celebrating it with his 4 grandchildren (with another 2 along the way). He loved children. He would’ve been so happy to play with our kids 🙁 Daddy, happy birthday wherever you are. I hope you are celebrating it with your friends too. We miss you terribly! 🙁
