Travelog: From Paris to Zermatt

This year seems to have begun with a quest to go around the world, literally 🙂 Before 2012 ended, I found myself in San Francisco with my beloved family before we headed off to Lake Tahoe, Nevada for a brief encounter with snow. And then I was off to New York to see a friend and spent time uptown (hello Barneys, Bergdorfs, The Plaza :D) before hopping on my flight to Dusseldorf.  When I had landed in Germany, I had no idea what time it was. So I asked an airport attendant what time it was and she said it was 8 o’clock. I had to ask “is that 8 AM or PM?” LOL. Yes I was that disoriented! (Haha there are even times I wake up in the middle of the night not knowing where the toilet is lol)

I landed in Florence and spent a beautiful 3 days there with my fellow blogger friends and the LuisaViaRoma family, before flying to Paris.

And after a few chilly days in the city of lights, I wake up and am with my good friend in Zurich as we both jumped on the next available train to Zermatt, Switzerland.

CV Travel had planned the trip in such a short period of time and yet everything is in its perfect place– Claudette is truly amazing, thank you!!

So yes, I am now in Zermatt where it is -11degC,coldest of -18degC atop the Matterhorn. I am posting some photos of what I saw today. I hope to get better ones tomorrow. Meanwhile, if you are currently in a warm and tropical climate, I hope you can feel the cold from where I am at through these photos 🙂

Hope to get a chance to ski tomorrow haha *question is, do I know how to ski? lol* 🙂 Wish me luck!

Oh yes I forgot to tell you, I made a new friend yet again (as it seems I make friends in the frostiest places– remember the Snowman and the Grizzly back in Lake Tahoe :D)

That’s Henry (the horse, not the man LOL) 😀

Anyway please do follow me on instagram (http://www.instagram.com/thebaghag) as I know for sure I am able to update photos more regularly there– and no, sad to say, iPhoto is still not working. It made the whole point of bringing a laptop (to store and edit photos for work) for travel completely useless.
