TRAVELOG: Thebaghag lands in San Francisco!

I made it to the US with this meal on the plane.

Some kind of shrimp salad.
Chinese style sea bass (yummy– and to think plane food normally sucks)I downed it all with four glasses of red wine *hick* (So ok I’m a raging alcoholic when I fly hehe… I hate turbulence, so there.)

When we got in, we all went out for a good ol’ hearty *read: greasy* Chinese meal. (The food just never stops! Woohoo fat farm here I come!)

Roast duck wonton noodle soup (cholesterol overload!)
Beef tripe in black bean sauce (Uric acid overload!)
Sigh, I’m loving the weather here right now. It’s a nice 18 deg.C right now on a sunny Monday. I miss DH and my DKs already. It’s sooo quiet where we live 🙂

MAIL CALL!!!Talk about being a total loser. I was away for 9 months, and this was all I got 🙁 *pout*. I was hoping to sift through tons of catalogs *disappointed* Actually let’s not even count the junk mail :(. But HERE’s good news! Barneys NY is finally opening its doors to San Francisco peeps! And they open on September 19. And Mrs.T will surely be there ! *Muwahaha the last time a major store opened (Bloomies), we went there on the first day– for the free brollies haha*

I’m posting some photos here taken from Neiman Marcus and Chanel mailers/catalogs. These are the very bags that I’ll be checking out 🙂 *I don’t waste any time, do I haha*

But before anything, here’s a cool Neiman Marcus pop-up from “the book”!
PRADA
Heyyyy this bag is realllly nice!!! Priced at US$2,390.

MICHAEL KORS
I read somewhere (I think it was one of the Project Runway contestants who said it) that “Kors knocks off Calvin Klein.” * Tsk hehe bad* But this bag is no knock-off of CK. Not bad! Priced at US$1,195.

CHANEL’s Paris- Biarritz collection (this is old already. And I honestly did not find any of these bags exciting at all).
CHANEL
“Chain Drops” and lambskin bag. Priced at *sticker shock!* US$4,975. Hmm metal fringes? And heeey what’s up with the prices at Chanel??? Interesting to see up close though.

DIOR Samourai 1947 (faux tortoiseshell). This is THE bag I’ve been wanting to check out sooo bad. Sadly, it has a very unfriendly price of US$4,010. 🙁

TOD’S Bauletto Grande in patent and nylon. Priced at US$925. Hey now this would make a cool “cabin” bag on the plane 🙂

I wonder again this time how I can possibly survive this trip with only a few bucks cash on hand. I gotta figure out a way to earn a living while I’m here or I’ll be drooling endlessly by the shop windows when we head to the City. (To prospective employers: I can cook, but I’m not fond of washing dishes. I don’t mind babysitting if you don’t mind that I bring your baby along while I shop haha…)

I gotta get ready now. Have to head over to the post office to mail payments for my bills 🙂 Seeee, I actually pay my bills!! *Proud hag*

P.S. Comments answered:

1. Re: Anya Hindmarch’s “I’m not a plastic bag”: I think your best bet to get one would be through resellers. But do make sure the reseller is reliable coz there are so many fakes going around.
2. The reason why I block out my face (with a heart too– don’t forget to mention that) is because I have a “healthy” acne farm on my face, so why bother grossing people out? *muwahaha* Oh and yeah, this pretentious baghag wants to be recognized for being a socialclimbing pretentious baghag… but certainly not for that hideous acne farm *puke puke*.

Sigh, I love my computer, site counter, and google earth when used together. It pinpoints exactly where you hags are when you post “anonymous” comments *Snicker*. So much for anonymity on your end *Snort hehe*

*Evil grin*

  1. Dear Mrs. Jackie T,

Im heading over to HK next week and am seriously contemplating on getting my hands on the Speedy 30. Unlike you, I am a mere employee who was able to chance upon saving herself some stash for her dream bag (of course if I had more I’d buy the Chanel). My bf thinks that particular bag is, in your terms, bugly. He says that if I were to get an LV, it should be a better one than the Speedy. Somebody is heading over to Italy soon. Should I get the bag in HK or have it bought in Italy instead? Is there a big difference in price?

Thanks and have a great time in SF. Looking forward to more beautiful bag reviews.

  2. hi mrs. t, until when would you be there? i’ll be there at the end of the month. hope we could bump into each other in the city. God bless and have a grand time with your mom. 😉

  3. Hi Mrs. T, I’m Tina. I just want to know if how can you tell a fake gucci slingbag from a real one? Thanks.

  4. hey i live in san francisco and been following your blog for some time now. you shouldn’t be schleping yourself to the post office just to pay bills, you should try online payments through BA, or WAMU, or whatever it is credit card company you owe this month hehe. save’s you time and sweat 😉

  5. I love Ms. Bag Hag and her humor! 😀

Do try Acne Aid soap–bath time, after make up, before going to bed. It works. 😀
