Travelog: A Phuket Dream

One thing I really dislike about instagram (ok, I don’t dislike it… haha because I’m actually addicted to it) is that it has made so many bloggers lazy (me included!!). It was all about the blog before and now it’s all about the photos on instagram. And being the seriously OC person that I am, I have even begun to heavily scrutinize the photos I take and now the process to blog takes even longer. Because it is no longer about the text! It’s all about the photos! What a shift it has been !

Anyway, this is a long overdue post (and I still owe you guys Greece photos!). It was one of my good friend’s birthday and she decided that we spend it with some friends in Phuket. Getting the services of CV World Travels  for the arrangements, we set out on this fun- filled trip with only one thing in mind– TO RELAX!

We were booked at The Shore at Katathani, one of the resorts that overlooks Kata Beach.

I want to share these photos of our two- floor place. I was floored when I walked through the doors after being brought to our villa by a buggy.

This has to be my all- time favorite bathroom out of all the resorts I’ve ever stayed in.

Breakfast may not be served in bed, but it’s served in an equally amazing area– the terrace which overlooks Kata Beach:

In the afternoon, Chef Stevie Villacin recommended we try out this Pad Thai eatery– a little hole in the wall place about 15 minutes away from our hotel. Don’t expect a “chi chi” restaurant, as this eatery is an open- air cafeteria where only locals eat (you know it’s really good if the locals eat there).

The Pad Thai Shop served the most incredible chicken, chicken feet, and brisket noodle soups, and of course, Pad Thai. I honestly was not a fan of Pad Thai until I tried the Pad Thai Shop. We ordered everything (and yes, we did finish everything!!).

The succeeding few afternoons we spent at Phuket were either spent on the beach (we also went island hopping– to Phi Phi) or by the villa pool and by the resort pool which was a few steps away from the beach.

Each day, the sunset was different and equally magical.

Spending time in a beautiful resort would’ve gotten me all inspired to write, but haha I ended up doing the opposite– I actually took a lot of “me” time to relax and just to enjoy the time and the company of friends. It is my birthday month *hahaha excuuuuuses* and I think I’m allowed a little R&R? 😀
