Travelog: Paris (Rue du Bac, Bon Marché)

Everytime we go to Paris, I make sure to pop by The Shrine of the Miraculous Medal along Rue du Bac. Ok, honestly, before I met my friend CJ, I didn’t know who or what the Miraculous Medal was– this coming from someone who went to a Catholic school too *tsk*. Bad bad. (I swear, the Big Man Up There must be shaking his head… But I pray regularly though 😀 *like that alone will earn me a first class ticket to heaven one day hehehe… but hey, nice to hope for that hehe!*)

Anyway, thanks to CJ, I now feel the need to visit the Miraculous Medal shrine when I’m in Paris. 🙂
After saying a prayer of thanks at church, we went next door to Bon Marché. I love Bon Marché– more than Galleries Lafayette or Printemps. Because of La Grand Epicerie…

Bangers, anyone? 🙂

Sauerkraut!

Now if I had that phantom house, I’d throw parties and serve friends these*drools* They look too good to eat!!

Easter Eggs!!
Real Eggs. Check out the size on this one! It says Oeuf Poulet… so I guess it IS a chicken egg!!

Check out the cheese–
pssst Daph, it’s got your initials! 😀 (Didn’t know you make cheese hehehe)

Fresh seafood choices

Bling! water (which is from the U.S., if I’m not mistaken). I wouldn’t be spending on this though hehe. I want to drink water, not admire the crystals on the bottle that holds the water…

I’m a pepper fan, so I enjoyed seeing the wide variety of peppercorns available.
And of course the actual department store is the nicest consolation. Hardly anyone there (some locals were milling about) when we went, which was nice. Galleries Lafayette and Printemps are always full of people that it’s quite difficult to get your tax rebate without waiting a good 10 minutes each time.
