TRAVELOG: On Notre Dame and a Glimpse of the “Mothership”

After our Versailles trip, we decided to go over to Notre Dame Cathedral. On the way to the cathedral, we saw the Eiffel Tower at a distance, the smaller Statue of Liberty (it’s big sister is in NYC),

Pont Neuf (the oldest bridge in Paris),

and the Conciergerie (where Marie Antoinette was confined before she was guillotined).

Voila, Notre Dame Cathedral.Home to the Hunchback Quasimodo (it’s just a story that Victor Hugo wrote in an attempt to “preserve” the Gothic style of Notre Dame Cathedral). Sigh, it’s been raining on and off in Paris 🙁 The weather is just unbearably cold (and let me tell you that I am wearing TWO layers of thermal clothing underneath my shirt which is underneath my super thick wool coat!

It was deja vu for both DH and I, as we both stood at the mouth of the cathedral (on the very same spot) for photos. We went in, lit candles, and said our little prayers…

More interior shots…

Ok, I am going to have to cut this post short. Expect the Motherload post tomorrow on… you guessed it, Hermes Saint Honore– THE mothership 🙂 *Is the suspense killing you yet? Hehehe ok I’m mean :D*

P.S. To the readers who have been sending me these comments with support, thank you again and really I am blessed to have you wonderful peeps in my net life. Someday I hope I get the chance to meet you all (then you’ll know how insane I really am… and biatchy on PMS days hahaha). I really don’t think I should be plastering my face here for a bit, just also out of respect for those who may get annoyed with my constant cam whoring (if I had the face of Monica Bellucci, it would’ve been more acceptable :D). I will post again “Mrs.T with the heart” perhaps after the travelog is over 🙂 Thank you peeps (and to the one I “annoyed”, I am truly sorry but I also hope you understand that my confidence level in regards to my face is rather low 😀 But hey, I love taking potshots at my “looks” *if I even have any haha*, so laugh a little, will ya? :D)

x

  1. Hi! Can’t wait to see your next posting from the coveted orange house!
Anyway, although you did not reply to my recent question about Goyard (which initially upset me but I guess you must’ve been busy), I feel for sorry for whoever that was who felt annoyed with your heart-covered face.
You have every right not to reveal your identity cos this is YOUR blog. Afterall, a sense of mystery is always alluring.
    Cheers,
    from Kuala Lumpur

  2. paris is such a magical city, isn’t it? rome is too. i only had a very whirlwind stay during my honeymoon 2 years ago in both cities, and maybe next time we can have the chance to explore a little bit more. thanks so much for sharing such beautiful details of your trip. looking forward to your reveal!!

  3. you take damn good photos, mrs. t! of course, my sister in law and i are talking about this blog again. (for days now, i tell you. bec we didn’t know that we both have been reading your blog!) she texts me or i text her if you have updates..
please post photos of you’re “get-up” ok? =) don’t mind the others who got “annoyed”, why’s she/he taking her time reading your posts, then? oh, and why can’t we access tresor website? wanna see what’s new. thanks and good day. – therese

  4. nonajane: The only way for me to really tell the difference with an authentic Goyard vs a fake is if I see it up close 🙁 Photos are really deceiving 🙁 Sorry if I wasnt able to reply to your question earlier, I have serious memory loss (coupled with short term memory) that after I read questions/ comments, I have this tendency to forget what was asked, so I don’t always get to answer everything. Thanks for being so patient 😉

therese: TRESOR website is up and running again but we still can’t update the site because the host server is getting transferred to a new one (something technical like that) so there are so many kinks! Anyway, I will be updating the tresor site as well through tresormakati.multiply.com OR tresorie.multiply.com until the “kinks” could be ironed out. I wish I was really technical so the transfer of hosting service is seamless. Alas, I am so lost when the tech guy was explaining what kinks are happening now 🙁 🙁 DH had to intervene.

anon and therese: thanks a lot 🙂 I don’t really take excellent photos– I’m still learning a lot about my own camera since I never read the manual. As long as the photos aren’t blurry, I’m good 🙂 hahaha
