Travelog: Omotesando, Harajuku, Aoyama

And now, back to the travelog 🙂

Omotesando is a must- go. Because it was through Claudette Vitug of CV Travel that we learned about this ramen place called Kyusyu- jangara.

They serve the most awesome ramen I’ve ever had.  The place was full even at 3pm.

Our friend Spencer, who came in a little late, had to wait loooong for a seat so he ended up not eating anymore 🙁 Spence, we’ll go back again, don’t worry 😀

I picked out #4-D from the menu.

Don’t ask me exactly what it was. All I know is, it’s made of bone stock, had seasoned roe, some pork slices, and a hard boiled egg. And it was delicious with the pickled spicy vegetables and pickled ginger on the table. It’s really the BEST I’ve ever had. It was a winner!!!

DH had this. It had more slices of pork

It’s made from a different soup base– if I’m not mistaken, chicken stock. He too, said it was pretty awesome. I vow to come back to this ramen place again. And again, and again!
After our meal, we had a chance to sit down and watch all the people pass by. I took this opportunity to take photos of street fashion. Not anything like The Sartorialist though 🙂 It’s more like Mrs. T’s stalker cam at work 😀
I am posting photos of these peeps who have a different sense of style (in my eyes). I love that they experiment with their styles and with fashion. They’re not my kind of fashion, but you’ll never hear me say that it’s tacky because this is  how they interpret fashion, and I respect their style. I can say too that they can pull off the look very well! 🙂
These 2 friends are sooo cute!

I’d love to own an animal- print jacket– she looks fab!! (And yes, there’s a Forever 21 store in Omotesando already)

He reminds me of someone in the Philippines… Designer Puey Quinones?

It’s so cold in Tokyo, I wonder how this guy’s able to keep himself warm, because from the looks of it, his clothing’s real thin! (Meanwhile, we were all freeeezing our buns off!!)

Case in point, this cute lady with the ear muffs.

It was really crazy coooold!!!

We went to Takeshita Street (Harajuku) as well

And just like Shibuya, there was a sea of people. The street was FULL.

Hehehehe… he made me smile 🙂 check out the other guy to his left with yellow paper stuck all over his body 🙂 He was funny, and he was very cold (and he showed it). I think his peers were laughing at him too, and he too, was laughing along. *I wish I could understand Nihongo!!*

There were small stalls that sold churritos (different flavors), milk tea, as well as crepes. I didn’t want crepes anymore. Because they look nothing like the models of crepes on display hahaha.

And then my friends saw this and pointed it out to me.

See the word “CUT”? It says next to it, Shampoo and BROW. Did they mean BLOW dry ? 😀 *grammar / spelling nazi alert!!!* hahaha. Too cute! What made it funnier for me was the name of the salon– Tornado Salon. I wouldn’t wanna have my hair done there though… hahaha or I might look like a product of a Tornado 😉 Cute- funny 🙂

That’s all for now! More on Tokyo tomorrow! 🙂

  5. Wow! Japan looks so nice!

How was the weather? How many layers did you wear?

I’m going next week to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. Unfortunately, not Tokyo, would’ve wanted to go to where you went:) Have you been to those places? Any food places or shopping places that you can recommend?:)

  6. hi mrs. t,

i’m going to tokyo this march 27- april 3 (sakura season) and I’d like to ask the best area to scour for pre-owned LV and other branded bags. Looking for a damier graphite messenger bag. Daikokuya or Kohmeyo? Any tips???

  7. Hi Mrs.T! I super love Japan! I had my student exchange in Tokyo for 6 months in 2008. I love the Tokyo lifestyle! Btw, you should try Ichiran Ramen Place next time! You could customize your ramen, like firmness of noodles, amount of spice, fat content, soup taste, toppings, etc! There is one in Shibuya across the Disney Store. I want to go back really soon! 🙂

  8. @ichiran ramen: Woooooaaaa thanks sooo much for the tip!!! I will definitely put that on my list! I would love to go back in the next few months but this baghag needs to werq first 🙂

@Manila Girl: Best place to look for it is in Komehyo. By far the most extensive LV preowned collection is there.

@Jaki: Thanks so much for that ramen tip too! Gosh I love that you guys give me more places to eat next time 🙂 xx

@nosugarjstspice: Wooo Im so jealous! I have never been to those cities yet 🙁 You should tell me all about it! I’m sure you’ll have a ball!
