TRAVELOG: Hermes Rue du Faubourg Saint- Honore

Without further ado, I present to you, the window dressings of the mothership that is Hermes on 24 Rue du Faubourg, Saint- Honore…

Garden Party in the classic H patterned monogram. I’m sorta liking this (ahh but that’s cause there’s the monogram :D)! Also, an ivory Kelly Lakis! This is the first time I’ve seen it in this combination.

It’s 2008, and the theme of Hermes for this year is Fantaisies IndiennesOh so rich colors!! Vespa, Trim… And oh yeah, did I mention how gorgeous the “paisley” sandals are? *not cheap though… at least EUR 400+*

Our SA also confirmed that the JPG birkin will already be discontinued. Sooooo there is reason to get a JPG birkin now while it’s still around! It’s gonna be a bag that’ll be in Hermes history books! Now that’s an incentive to get it 🙂 Apparently my SA said that many of her clients are currently asking for JPG birkins in light of the “retirement” development! But sad to say, there were none at the store 🙁

I managed to steal a shot as our SA packed the last of our boxes 🙂
We had our loot delivered to our hotel afterwards (Our favorite Frenchman Laurent was no longer driving us for the night– and we had to walk home from Saint-Honore :D)

Now, here’s the cheese on the mothership at Saint- Honore– there were a number of birkins in-store. We got offered a brown (havane or was it ebene) ostrich birkin in 35cm, but it was way beyond our budget (so we didn’t even bother finding out how much hahaha. Had to be ummm… pretentious and say, “no it’s not the color we want” hahahaha). Also, there was a black box 35cm birkin in silver hardware, and a 40cm gold clemence birkin. Then of course they brought out a VIOLET 30cm porosus crocodile birkin with DIAMONDS (I think I heard the SA say it was from the George V store… I could be wrong though coz I was under the impression that they don’t do cross inventories) which was just jawdroppingly beautiful (DM asked the price and it was something like US$170,000!!! A year or so ago, a 35cm croc birkin with diamonds was “only” US$140,000+. I say “only” because in comparison to the price now, it was lower. But daaaaang it’s soooooo expensive– that bag could already feed three small countries!!! Makes me wonder who owns one!)

Also here’s a list of available bags to my recollection: Lindy- lagoon, orange, and black in 30cm, saffron, etoupe, and parchemin in 34cm; Kelly- orange 32cm, rose dragee 32cm (super gorgeous color), blue jean 35cm, brown epsom 35cm, a few toile combination ones; Paris Bombay- saffron, vert cru, black; Evelyne- white, etoupe; Victoria: brighton blue, saffron, etoupe, vert anis, orange, red, gold, black. There were some bi-colored picotins as well; Kelly wallet only came in chocolate epsom, etoupe chevre, and the smaller one in blue jean. There were also a lot of travel bags– beautiful ones too! Sorry if I can’t remember everything 🙁 I was really overwhelmed!!

When we got to the hotel to unload our other stuff, this was what greeted me in our room 🙂*Yes, the things arrived before we did! We shudda hitched a ride with their delivery van or something hahaha* DSIL got hers delivered as well 🙂 Holy Crap, we have a problem. Don’t think our luggages can handle that and more…. *uh ohhhhh* But wooohooo a whole lotta orange and not a cent left to spend on my card… it’s the start of my abused card’s “decline” 🙁 *SOB.. This means debt will welcome me in April…* I just realized I must’ve exuded that signature tai tai appeal (yeah right, not in my crappy clothes and sneakers… I actually looked more like a dog drooling on the H windows haha) but hellooooo reality check, I don’t have a financial backer (some venture capitalist should just invest on me… I guarantee returns… in the form of bags hahahaha). DM shrugged off the bags (except for the violet croc hahaha). She still thinks there’s nothing “really” special about them. Of course me being the pretentious little snoot of a daughter, went on and on, telling her that the bag was handmade yaddi yadda yadda, and that not many can just walk in and get offered these bags. She still shrugged me off and said, “Isn’t one Hermes enough already?”

*Muwahaha oh boy*… Oh how I wish I could be like her one day and just be totally nonchalant about Hermes. Sigh. If I were like that, I would’ve been proudly saying I still have some “savings”. But alas, I have none. I’m in the financial negatory as of now (negatory= negative territory). Sigh… but while this vacation was in progress, I still slept well at night hahaha. The sleeplessness and insomnia resumed in Manila and you already know why 🙂 I have to be OFW again… Man, I wish money grew on trees. *Pouts like a spoiled brat hahaha ptoooey!*

And no, I will not yet reveal the bags… I’ll probably do a Hermes bag strip tease and reveal them one at a time per month hahaha… *Sexy! Nottttt!!*

More on Saint- Honore tomorrow. Dang, this bag addiction is getting worse. My old bags will have to “go” or else I will have to face an overpopulation problem in my closet (and a mountainful of debt comes with it). Whatever happened to me being a good bag editor? *Pffft that thought went out the door as soon as we entered the realm of Saint-Honore hahaha… Bag Gawds help meeeeeee*
