Travelog: Francis Ford Coppola Winery

Haha, I’ve decided to take another “leave” on the blog for a week or so and stick to instagram while on vacation 😀 While I kept things fairly nice and easy, doing very little shopping because honestly there were ZERO exciting bags to buy or to covet in the last month or so, I was also able to enjoy a bit more of the things I used to love doing (but never found time to do). I was cooking a lot (notice my new chubby cheeks haha), and we also had some interesting road trips 🙂

One of the highlights of this summer was a trip to the Francis Ford Coppola Winery. Now to the wine connoisseurs, this might not be the best winery there is to visit. But since not everyone in my group was a “drinker”, we had to pick a place that had extra entertainment value other than wine 😉 And so far, the top pick was the Francis Ford Coppola Winery– because he is a filmmaker and there were some cool movie memorabilia in- house, and also because there is a nice pool area for swimming, along with some other recreational activities to do. They have this nice area to lounge around and read a good book.

Dinner was served at the winery’s restaurant, Rustic, which overlooked the very picturesque vineyard.

The food though, is not as good as I had imagined it would be, but the wine was surprisingly quite nice despite the reviews.

Perhaps I’m just not good at wines haha.20150704115225_IMG_3112_1

But if you have younger family members and are looking to spend a fun afternoon in Sonoma or Napa, I do highly recommend staying the day in Francis Ford Coppola Winery 🙂
