TRAVELOG: Beautiful Paris…

Oh boy, I’m still suffering from serious jet lag. I can’t believe how erratic my sleep schedule is lately– one day I’d sleep by 8pm, the next day, I get sleepy at 7AM. I know, I totally messed up my system. Even my friend says I’m living such a toxic life.

To top things off, my jet lag won’t end since I’m flying out again this weekend to another different time zone. Funny how my friends think I live such a “cool” life– I do admit, it’s great to have this opportunity to travel, but oh mah Gawd, it’s a nightmare to get me to sleep! *Sob* The saddest part is, I have to be away from DH and my kiddies again. I’m really thankful though that they’re understanding enough to let me go. They know that after this long trip, I wouldn’t be able to travel again soon if my “project” pushes through come year end. See, it’s a sacrifice still at the end of the day. Nothing pains me more than being away from my loved ones 🙁 It’s not all fun and games as many would think. I work damn hard *attempts to justify some more hehehe*– I don’t even get enough sleep lately! I have racoon eyes now and I think they’re permanent. Yikes!

My old friend told me to take a few glasses of wine to help sleep, but oh Gawd, I have an “addictive” personality. Before you know it, I’d be a raging alcoholic, so hahaha, I think I’ll just take Nyquil instead, thank you *muwahahaha Nyquil addict… remember those days? hahaha*

Anyway, I am posting more photos of Paris. I’m loving Paris more and more… I just wish I have to moolah to own an apartment there (or just mooch off someone else hahaha… since I’m a freeloader and all :D)

Went to Sacre Coeur to say a little prayer of thanks
Then went toward Montmartre, the artists’ quarter.
Saw this man carrying a fresh bag of baguettes. They smelled heavenly in Parisian air 🙂

This painter’s amazing. He can paint with his eyes shut even!

I love these little streets of Montmartre… Cobblestones and all these quaint looking little entrances to shops and buildings..

I also was able to go to Le Marais on this trip with a Parisienne friend, SCL. Got some clothes from Comptoir des Cotonniers. It’s kinda like French Gap.

CV and I were originally going to eat at this corner restaurant (on the left), but we ended up eating at my old haunt (I say “old” because this was where we ate the last time I was there), Au Gamin du Paris along Rue Vieille du Temple.
We were early for dinner. I had French Onion Soup *drooool*

Escargots which we both ordered,
and we both ended up with Magret du Canard au Poivre.
Ok darn, now I’m craving for that… 🙁

On another day, I went to St Honore and popped by JAR. His vitrine had this. I swear, this jeweller doesn’t need to work. Both times I was in Paris, both times he went on vacation 🙂 I am loving this man’s life already 😉 I wish I could say the same for me– that all my trips are for pleasure and not for work. *Sob*

And this last photo, the Metro beside the Carousel. I love these old Metro signs… 🙂
*Sigh* I miss Paris… the places, the bags, the clothes, the food, the food… 😀
