These days + The LAST Hurrah on the TRESORIE SALE :)

Boy I was sooo tired! The Sale last May 21 went well. I am so glad to have met so many baghags who share the same passion as I– looking out for good deals!!! Anyway, the day after the sale, I went on a date with a very famous blogger *scandal scandal!! haha*

My date was none other than the very fashionable TinAD aka Manila Fashion Observer (manilafashionobserver.blogspot.com) 😀 We had this “date” since two or three weeks ago when she was still in New York. The date entailed going to my fave old haunt, Binondo 🙂 I loooove Binondo, Ongpin, and the surrounding areas. So much to do there! I wish it wasn’t so traffic though! But with TinAD in town, braving the traffic to get to our desired destination was part of the deal 🙂

I will be posting photos of our meal/s in Binondo on http://theclosetglutton.blogspot.com. And will also be posting more details of our little Binondo- Ongpin jaunt in a few days, for sure 🙂

THANKS SO MUCH Tin!

I’m sooo bad. I have NOT been to yoga for a WHOLE week. Yes. I was supposed to have gone yesterday but daaaang, I was LATE. So I didn’t go anymore. Today however, I got too lazy. Haha. (Ohboy there goes my investment!)

What did happen today? First off, I got to meet Sam Oh. She is really hilarious– as kooky as when she is on-cam. And she isn’t a designer baghag!!! *YET* haha. Had a blast with you, and one day (maybe not tomorrow, but deffo one day), you will be a certified baghag 😀 *

The best thing about having met Sam was, I saw her bag. No, it was no designer bag, and she willingly admits that she doesn’t spend on designer bags (I know, it boggles the mind, right? Well it boggles a label whore like me, that’s for sure haha). Ok, so anyway, what made her bag special was this– and no, it wasn’t because the bag was cute and had a nice color… It was because she improvised on the repair of a lost screw– with a rubber band!!!! It was hilarious. I was really floored when she said she used a rubber band to cinch the loose screw!!! 🙂 It’s ingenious actually, because the way she tied it, didn’t make the rubber band look like it’s there at all– that was, until she actually pointed it out. It was HILARIOUS (and take note, she was SO proud of it hahaha). Baghags love you, SamOh! 🙂

I headed out to Rockwell Pepper Lunch (I know, I know, again!) to meet up with super smartie political strategist, ML. Noooo, I am not running for office *muwahaha*. If I were, my platform would’ve been “everyone deserves a nice designer bag for free”… Lol and I’d be giving away Hermes birkins to those who can get me votes in the millions *muwahahaha*. NOT. I’m soooo not into politics. Heck I have my head in the sand and know nothing about what’s going on in the local political scene. So a career put to death even before it starts 😉

Anyway ML and I had a blast today because she too, is a baghag! 🙂 I looove ladies who love their bags!! Makes me feel good in knowing that I’m not the only ahem “addict?!” out there 😀 The coolest part of our meal was when I showed her how I normally “pig out” at Pepper Lunch hahaha. I didn’t really want to eat my steak with the rice mixed up on the hotplate, but tonight, I did just that. It was tsk… well… sooo good. Although haha not pleasing to the eye (hence the absence of any photo this time). The line was not that long when we got in, but by the time her friend MC showed up, the line was already snaking up to Jollibee! *Insane I tell you… pssst CVS, an awesome job your manager is doing :)!!*

Here are the bags of the baghags at Pepper Lunch. MC’s Hermes Victoria, ML’s Hermes Lindy, and my Victoria (already dirty by the way). Looove the bags of these chic ladies! While we were there, we also espied Balenciagas, Chanels, and even an Hermes blue jean birkin! So many well-bagged ladies in the house! 😀

Anyway, I totally forgot to mention this– remember CACL and her missing hainanese chicken? 🙂 Well, she surprised us again the other day with CALLOS (ox tripe)!! I mean, this woman cooks a real mean Spanish dish of callos. Her callos tops any other restaurant callos I’ve ever tasted. She paired it with freshly baked baguette from Lartizan Bakery, and a bottle of Chilean wine.

This woman, CACL, never ceases to amaze me. Don’t worry peeps, I’m still convincing her to take orders. I swear, the callos are meant to be bought from her. Perfect consistency, flavorful, a lil kick of a spice, and very tender ox tripe. I was soo happy. Within minutes, the once full container, was reduced to a fourth of its actual content. DH was so happy with the callos that he actually had to personally relay compliments to the chef 🙂 *psst DH is really picky with food too, so even I was impressed!* Thank you sooo much CACL!

Now I reallly feel like a freeloader!! 🙂 *The free food offers have begun! WooHoo!! hehe Professional Freeloader! PF PF PF*

I was supposed to go to the dinner at Sala Bistro last night, but we had to forego a sumptuous meal to pay our respects to DH’s maternal grandmother who just passed away 🙁 So it was a pretty sad night. She was a really kind lady and we will all miss her dearly…
