TheBaghag’s Foot in Mouth Disease :D + Bag Review

Ok this is truly embarrassing because for the 2nd time in a row, I had to swallow my words about a previous opinion on a bag. The first of course was the Fendi Spy with floral detail. Don’t ask me when I shot this bag down, but I do remember having said that the Spy need not have any more detail on it, and having that floral “scrunchy” (if I am allowed to call it “scrunchy” even hehehe.. hope that lurking grammar nazi ain’t around 😀 *wiggle wiggle*) just ruins the original beauty and simplicity (yet ingenuity) of the bag design. Well, of course when I saw the Fendi taupe floral spy bag on Tresor (and this I have to say with 100% honesty), I did a 180 degree turn *instant denial on a previous statement about the bag hahaha*. I just really never expected to like the bag. When I first laid eyes on it up close and personal, my throat just went dry *aka speechless* (kinda like when you first fall in love… awwwww *dreamy eyes*). I was wrong, I was wrong about the bag!! I loooove it! That bag is just sooo in-your-face and you can’t not appreciate the detail! *Thwaps myself for thinking it was not pretty before… me and my big fat mouth* Foot in Mouth Disease Incident Number 1!! *hehe that sounds sooo nasty!*

And now, Oh dear, here I go again. Mrs.T’s Foot in Mouth Disease Returns.. with a friggin’ vengeance!!! Remember how I had completely lambasted and insulted *rather ruthlessly too* the Louis Vuitton bag that looked like a China sackbag? Hoooo boy, if anyone can find that post, let me know (coz I’m totally dumb when it comes to searching for posts on my own blog). I’m sure if someone had bet that I’d actually like the bag when I see it up close despite my continued grumbles about why Marc Jacobs would come up with such a style, he or she would be rich!! (If it was a Vegas- style bet haha) *bawl*

Urban Zone’s DaphP told me about Chuvaness’ LV Street bag. She was with Chuvaness when she “debuted” her bag to the public– the ADORING public. And yes, shame on me, shame on me. I haven’t been to my own flickr site but I just had to take the time to check out Chuvaness’ photos of her bag.

The photo of the Street bag sent me into a dizzying spiral. It is GORGEOUS! Here’s the bag in its braided leather glory!! (photo borrowed with permission from Chuvaness). I am not a fan of red (because I ceased to use that color for bags after my Daddy passed on), but oh dear. I looooooove that bag, looooooove the detail! For bag’s sake, it’s braided LEATHER!!! I appreciate FINE details!!! *snort, what a bag snob hahaha… pretentious baghag!!*. My fingers literally scurried off to LouisVuitton.Com to get more information about the bag *cough, info= if it’s available hahaha*. But much to my dismay (and maybe this is really indeed a blessing), it is NOT available. Ugh my goodness, I should keep myself in control when bags like these just grab me by my weak heart *darnit then squeezing it! OUCH!!!*

Sooo now I’ve decided to baptize the LV Street bag as the “Jackpot” Bag, because those who had earlier appreciated the beauty of this bag even without seeing it up close and personal yet (and had the smarts to pre-order it), really hit jackpot *ding ding ding*. Those like me, who 1. don’t have the funds for one right now since I blew all my moolah off on another bag *Gawd thank you for the mistake, how the heck can I pay for the Jackpot bag now; and 2. probably won’t be able to find this bag anywhere anymore except from those overpriced resellers *oh Lawrd all the more I can’t afford it* will just have to sadly admire the bag from afar (or up close… yeah and let the images haunt us for bag eternity!!)

*Thwaps myself* Smart move lambasting the bag, Mrs.T— NOT!!! Tsk tsk tsk. Chuvaness’ photo really is doing some serious damage to my EQ hahaha (note to self: Do not fall prey and buy this bag at 3x its original price hahaha… tsk tsk. DO NOT EVEN TRY *Geez I could even get seriously disowned for thinking this hahaha*!!!). *Pssst, CZVS— doesn’t it feel great that your bag is the very reason for my current inability to sleep soundly? Muwahahaha!!*

Ok, so don’t you all go biatchharping on me that it “serves me right” (that I was wrong and had to eat my words) anymore, because I’m already saying Mea Culpa 😀 My baaaad. Oiii so I admit I was wrong about that bag (ugh I can’t stop staring at it and the details! And I looove the gold version!!!) At least I know how to admit wrongdoing!!! * Pfffft 🙂 hello , as if you hags didn’t already know that I am a know-it-all! Hehe*

I need to stop griping about this or I’ll fester, fester, fester and slowly rot away and land in bag hell… *yeck* I need a quick fix. Here’s something that sorta perked me up *although I must say, the picker-upper bags of the night… err morning, pale in comparison to the Jackpot bag haha*

Marc Jacobs Christy Hobo. And yes going back to MJ, he has continued to outdo himself by making sure his mainstay styles remain in his own bag collection– note the similarity of this current bag to his older styles like the Stella, Sophia, all popular (and saleable) of course. Good on you for sticking to that design idea and not veering too far away from it. Love the exterior pockets with those teeny tiny pushlocks! MJ still has his finger on what sells. Emilio Pucci Lava Print Large Terry Beach Tote. Now THIS bag is perfect for summer. Speaking of summer, the weather has been really unforgiving. It’s soooo HOT and the whole city is just one big sauna in reality. So there’s nothing wrong for a beach virgin *yes, I’ve NEVER been to Boracay. Fine, laugh all you want, it’s true!* like me to use this bag in the city. The city is like one big beach with a little more pollution and a little less sand *unless you count dust as sand haha*. I like the festive yet pastel-y print of the bag. It’s just soo yummy and sooo perky 🙂 Priced at US$590 at eluxury.com
