Thebaghag= Wannabe real- life Mannequin (but I won’t quit my day job haha)

I am first to admit I am not exactly a clotheshorse, but when I do see beautiful clothes, I definitely want to try them on. It is rather shameless to have photographs of clothes I try on, but somehow it keeps me in tune with what would work with my body type and what wouldn’t. I must say this– even if there are outfits that just don’t work with me, I still insist on wearing them. Because again, at the end of the day, if you have enough confidence to pull off a look, then that’s really all that matters *cough cough overconfident baghag… full of air haha*. I could hardly contain myself when I saw the new pieces of 8 and a Half (I would not even plug if I don’t like!)

Do check out the few but new pieces of 8 and a Half at http://tresorie.multiply.com soon!

Meanwhile, this would count as my favorite ensemble. (yes, I shamelessly began trying on the dresses as soon as they arrived…haha sorry!) (exuding Overconfidence haha… pardon the overconfidence please hehe! There’s a reason why I am confident– because I covered my face on this photo. Yes– the face that only my mom could ever love hahahaha)

Sigh, if only I have an event to go to *hahaha unfortunately I am so PNG that no one wants to invite me to anything anymore haha*. Hmmm… I could conceivably wear this on my birthday, which is tomorrow *thebaghag= towncrier… spreads news about her birthday in hopes someone would gift her with a Starex van haha*…

Anyway, the bolero jacket is fantastic, with beautiful ruffled “zipper” wired detail. The gown on its own is remarkably simple, but the belt with the D! Luxe brooch made it look very, very dramatic.

The Aqua gown: Php 6,580
The Dramatic D! Luxe brooch: Php 5,450
The Ruffled bolero: Php 2,280

Total bill for this look: Php 14,310! I was telling 8 and a HALF’s designer, CarmenR, that this whole look can work for a bride, if everything were in white, and the belt was done in the wedding theme color. It’s pretty awesome. Even I couldn’t have fathomed that something this simple could come out so beautiful. If I were to wed, I’d go with this dress in an eggshell white shade with perhaps a powder pink belt *sigh… dreamy look*. Then DH and I would get married on a beach in this dress of mine *woohooooo!!! I loooove!!* (Sigh again :D)
8 and a HALF by the way, has begun accepting made-to-order gowns and dresses already!! You can contact Carmen directly at (+63917) 539-5658. And with her prices, I am just happy that I no longer have to do the “serious” couture route *meaning sky-high prices* for gowns when the occasions call for it. And for that, I am SOO grateful!!!

Happy Birthday to me indeed 😀

  1. Too bad you keep covering your face with a heart. You do justice to such an ensemble, your DH must be mighty proud to have you for a wife! Life’s too short to be shy and hide your loveliness, Mrs. T! =)
