The Socialclimbing baghag is Baaack! (2 nites only haha)

Whoa, this baghag’s social calendar went from practically non-existent to full, full! *Snicker*
but it’s just for this week. Next week the social landscape of this baghag is barren once more. It’s funny coz I remember at one point in my life, all I wanted was to party party party. But after I had children, all I wanted to do was to stay home, and bum around with DH and the kids. I guess though, I do miss the partying *cough socialclimbing* once in a while *hehehe*.

Last Thursday was the formal launching of the Archaeology section of Rockwell, where boutiques like Ilaya Couture, Anthology, Dressing Room, Maud, Pilar, Ruth and Esther, Cru, Marnie’s Room, Team Manila, and others (sorry I can’t remember them off the top of my head) are located.

Now, last night was something else. It was Preview Magazine’s Best Dressed List Ball at the Embassy Cuisine (attire: Futuristic chic). Now, this was my third time to be at Embassy (or was it second time). I don’t feel like I belong to a place like that– Embassy makes me feel like I’m part of the Sunday Geriatrics Club *muwahaha* (the crowd that goes there is uber young, and well, obviously I don’t feel that young anymore haha…duh I’m not that young anymore *sniff*).

It’s I think Preview’s 5th year of partying, and I’ve only attended one of their events– the very first issue of that “List” where TimY was part of it. The succeeding parties I wasn’t able to attend because either I had just given birth, or was not in town. I am lucky they still invited me this year considering my previous absences! *Thank you for inviting this baghag, PaulineSJ and the Preview peeps :D*

We had moved straight to the Club (as opposed to Cuisine) because Cuisine was just packed with too many peeps. ErikC was really accommodating and had given us a nice place to sit. I think it’s their usual VIP room on regular nights. And look, it even says “minimum of Php 5k consumable for couch occupants”!! EEKS! *I checked my wallet and I had all of 400 pesos haha*. Thank goodness for my cousin who immediately said, “That doesn’t apply tonight”, and with that, he brought out a bottle of Sparkling Rose (and later another bottle of Champagne!!). Freeeeee *Thebaghag freeloads once again!!*.

ErikC, DH, YvetteR, ChocR, and I all sat together and watched the crowds coming in (spillover from Cuisine). *Brag Brag: we have seats!!* (Feeling VIP hehe)

P.S. the freeloading baghag thanks Ponds ambassador and model (and also Metro Magazine editor-in-chief) MelC, for the Ponds loot! THANK YOU!! I will try and let you know the difference (although this I have to say– no matter how much age- defying beauty products I put on my face, I still won’t become pretty unless I get a facial overhaul *think surgery hahahaha* I make UglyBetty look good! hehehe)
