The beauty of Window Shopping and Keeping it Real

This is ridiculous. Who’s ever heard of traveling to the land of Supreme Sales and not having any money to spend?

Well, that’s Mrs.T for you. One, I forgot to bring my “emergency” credit card (maybe it was a subconscious effort to forget to bring it hahaha). Two, I didn’t pay for my other cards in my wallet before I left town (hehehe no moolah) so I was *literally* stuck drooling on the windows of these stores. Yes, it can be said that I actually didn’t buy anything that would put a dent on my finances on this trip. *Come on, I’m going through my own personal recession right now hahahaha*

Here are the windows that made me drool though 😉

Bottega Veneta
LanvinI love this display. That washing machine is made of paper!

And Lanvin’s neighbor, Hermes. The dalmatian travel birkin!

Oh to be in a place where everything is on sale and to not have the money to buy them. *Sob*

P.S.
Vanessa: You know though, I actually also zeroed in on you. Lucky you that you get to go shopping in the premier designer shops at Saint Honoré in your best “dress-to-impress” outfit… I’d rather look sloppy than be caught dead in a knock-off designer frock. *Snickers*

Mrs.T’s biatchin’!!! *muwahahaha* Thank God, I never considered myself a die-hard “fashionista” *barfs*. I just wore my old and non-designer, bought-on-sale outfit (that I didn’t iron because I’m just too lazy) which really made me look like a walking Sloppy Joe. But you know what, I was very comfortable, happy, and hadn’t a care in the world with what I wore 🙂 Even if it meant being called “appalling” *guffaws*. Bless your heart, Vanessa. And positive ju- jus your way. You are in dire need of it 🙂

To end this post, I just want to say this: Peeps, you don’t always have to spend money to be happy. Window shopping sans purchasing worked wonders for me *sourgraping tone.. hypocrite hahaha *. But if you are planning to shop, it’s better to buy something that’s not branded than to buy a fake designer item or worse, go knee deep in debt (with credit card bills) paying for a designer item that you cannot afford just to impress other people. Keep it real!! End the envy and the negatives in life and welcome the happiness (without going broke to get it). And then learn how to pay it forward 😉 Believe me, it’ll make you feel much, much better.

Perennially broke and unfashionable BUT deliriously happy,
Mrs.T 🙂

  1. It’s the height of recession chic in fashion. Clothes from Crea concept, Zadig et Voltaire, Isabel Marant, Vanessa Bruno all have clothes that look like they were not ironed. If your reader must know, here in Paris, we don’t dress to impress.

  2. Mrs. T, nice to know you stay true to yourself and are comfortable with whatever you wear. Others try do hard to look “rich” but its so pretentious of them to do so. I find it hard your dress sense get called “appalling”. These people should look at themself in the mirror first. Pretentious is worse than appalling. Just my two cents =)

  3. I’m a lurker so this is a first to comment. Style is innate and is not dictated by the clothes on your back. You have a good heart, Mrs. T. Negativity is not in your vocabulary. That’s all that matters. Keep on blogging!

  5. Good Lord some people can be so judgemental with the clothes others wear! Non designer on sale clothes are great! At least you know your priority. Besides not all rich people flaunt their wealth by wearing expensive clothes to go shopping.

  6. Re: Vanessa, yea some comment poster named Vanessa said she saw me in saint honore wearing “appalling” clothes hahaha. So I responded with a special mention of her– I couldn’t resist replying when someone talks about my dress sense– or lack thereof!! I think it’s hilarious 😉

  7. she’s just jealous Mrs. T…
Vanessa is a mom and pop, Mrs. T is a corporation. Mrs. T is a press conference while Vanessa is just a conversation.

  8. I wear a shirt from Target and a cheap sandals with my croc H bag. LOL. I feel good everytime.

  9. Mrs. T, style to me is having confidence to wear what you want kahit hindi designer and wearing it with ease
. I laughed at your comment to Vanessa. I love it. I don’t wear designers (not a priority) and I cringe at some people who will charge to death just to get the label.
nasa nagdadala yan, with your figure and your confidence, you could be wearing sako and still look good. Ignore the nega. inggit lang sila. 🙂
