The allure of Prada and Miu Miu Spring Summer 2007

You know what? I almost forgot to mention what I saw most of while I was in HK’s 2nd hand designer boutiques. Apart from all the Louis Vuitton, Chloe, and Gucci bags, I also saw tons of Prada and Miu Miu— and I’m not even talking about the microfiber bags… We’re talking the ruched leather bags… lots of them. No matter though, I still like them. They remind me of shar peis. Cuddly and wrinkly… If there is what they call comfort food, then these bags must be comfort bags 🙂

Prada Nappa Gaufre Convertible satchel. I especially love the color of this bag– it’s called Cera. It looks like chalk with a slight hint of rose (at least from the way I saw it). I know this is a total dust magnet (not to mention the color transfer on jeans), but if you know how to keep your bags pristine and new looking, this might be a good bag for Spring Summer. It’s very refreshing to look at, and it’s also made of leather. Priced quite high *but I’m sure worth it* at US$2,360 at saksfifthavenue.com

Miu Miu Nappa Leather Drawstring Satchel. While I’m not really a fan of the color, I still am liking the style of the bag. It is a nice (and cheaper) alternative of the bag above. The ruching might not be as detailed as the Gaufre bag but it still looks quite good. I blogged about this bag in the past, and well, since it’s everywhere, I decided to repost about her 🙂 And what else do I like about this bag? It reminds me of the Lanvin Kansas (although this doesn’t have any belts on the bag). I love the price too, US$860 for this baby at saksfifthavenue.com

Miu Miu Oversized Frame Bag. Ruched velvet *hehe Plush* with pockets? Me likey already. I think though that this bag is heavy because of all that gold hardware. I am also inclined to believe that the braided leather strap might be a bit uncomfortable on the shoulder. Would be nice in blue 🙂 This bag is really perfect if you get stuck overnight at the airport– at least you already need not worry about a pillow 😀 *hehe* Priced at US$1,295 at saksfifthavenue.com

Alrighty hags, time for this lady *cough did I just call myself a LADY??? Guffaw!!!* to get going. I’m excited today because despite my not having a voice, I get to meet more ladies who have droolworthy bag collections! I’m gonna be featuring these women for a mag. More details soon 🙂

P.P.S. It’s my DB’s birthday today 🙂 Happy birthday *to my financier hahahaha* Rats, I wonder if he will pardon my credit card swipes of last month *muwahaha wishful thinking??* Bahhh bottom line, this baghag will have a good dinner tonight *wiggle wiggle*. Ain’t life rosy? 🙂
