Takashimaya bags + Fabella Update

I love Takashimaya. It reminded me so much of the department stores in Tokyo (umm that’s cause Takashimaya is a Japanese department store. Duh) *thwaps myself*

There was this sea of bags… everywhere– left, right, back, front. It was insane. And it was difficult to stay focused (focus= hang with kids, not look at bags haha). I had a real hard time tearing my eyes away from these beautiful things that were just floating all around me, teasing me and inviting me to hold them and to just take them for a quick “spin” :D.

These bags caught my eye. Anli bags. From Belgium. I know that these basket- weave bags are so “local” (or maybe the right word is “native”) to us, but these styles are just way too cute!

I actually contemplated on buying one too– the top left one with that “popcorn” design in the middle (holding those pink slippers) before DK yanked me back to reality hahaha. These bags are very Moschino-ish, and looked like the older Kate Spade wicker bags (which were made in the Philippines :D). That Anli popcorn mini bag I was eyeing cost over SG$200. Not cheap. But they’re so cute, aren’t they? 🙂

And then we passed by the designer shops. (Take note: PASSED BY). Ok, confession. So I did a quick walk through at Hermes. (Quick= 3 minutes.. Yes, I counted the minutes hahaha). The H shop at Takashimaya had a few Evelynes, Paris Bombays, Marwaris. Nope, no 35cm birkins peeps. I asked. (Natch!)

I have always had this appreciation for the windows of Hermes. They’re so nice. And cleverly designed. Love the Big carrots 😀

They even used little strainers to hold the clic clac bracelets and other enamel bracelets and bangles.

Really so clever! 🙂

And then there was Pucci. You know, I used to love Pucci, but then their bags are almost always SO SMALL!! And I can hardly put anything in their bags anymore, so I stopped liking the brand. The designs are really nice though– I wish they’d make bigger bags. (But then again, I am trying very hard to stop myself from buying big bags already because these heavy things are finally taking a toll on my body!!).

See you all at Rockwell later 😉 Remember to register for Be Scene at Archaeology 🙂
