Spring is in the Air….

Ahhhh after a brief blogging holiday, I am back. I think I was still reeling from having made such a sinful and irrevocable *dannnng* confession (one that just might haunt me forever hahaha) that I couldn’t get my fingers to type anything other than the comments I had posted hahaha *pathetic… writer’s block? Or financial jail getting to me? Hahaha*.

Anyway, again such overwhelming response from you hags, thank you for the support for my having revealed Grapes. I assure you, something this big (of a purchase) requires months and months of ZERO *strictly adhering to that* personal bag purchase thereafter. *Muwahaha credit card companies, please stop bugging me. I’m officially turning on my answering machine hahaha… Please leave a message after the tone… beeeep!*

But hooo boy, talk about bad timing on the purse ban. There are SO many nice bags this Spring, and I’m about to mention some of the noteworthy ones. You know, perhaps this time, I can live vicariously through YOUR purchases! Enlighten me with YOUR loot!! 😉

Valentino Blossom Rose. It was the Pleated bag I first fell in love with. And Valentino has done it again with this bag. (Be still my broke heart… haha, not broken heart take note). Those gold snake skin handles are most certainly right on, with this season’s homage to exotics! Priced at US$1,895. I *heart heart heart* this bag!!!

Marc Jacobs Stam Quilted Satchel. I know, I know. Jaded hags would say, “but this bag is already old news!”. But pssst, did this “old” news of a bag come in this color yet? *Wolfswhistle*! If it’s all about being P&P *prim and proper* like an English rose, a blush colored bag is certainly most befitting, although the “chunkiness” of this bag would say otherwise– hey, women of the world need not hide behind that P&P look! Nice to show a little bit of that toughie in you through a bag 🙂 Priced at US$1,350.

Prada Tessuto Weave Tote. I was never a fan of the microfiber bags of Prada until the brand came out with those yummy colored ruched satchels last year. And Prada seems to top itself again with this new weave tote(in a lovely turquoise too!). The bag also comes in the coral multi-colored weave (which strangely reminded me of the LV weave tote). Priced at US$1,230.

Gucci Hysteria Hobo. Hooooo-wheeee! I love gunmetal gray and am sure glad this season’s Gucci bag is pretty enough to be discussed here. I must admit the hobo looks rather nondescript, save for that Gucci crest (which I swear was prominently displayed on my DM’s old Gucci bags). The crest is a welcome change from all the GG monograms prominently emblazoned on the more popular past Gucci bags. Priced at US$1,395. Not bad, considering this bag is made of soft calfskin leather!

And now, I have to post a… um… rather interesting bag. Dior’s Gipsy Bag. I was like, oye can I wear this bag around my neck when I am wearing a plain white tee? 😀 You know, to add some ruffles and color to my bland outfit? *Muwahaha*. I do like the cutout detail, but somehow the bag doesn’t quite cut it for me. Perhaps it’s too “boho”? Priced at US$1,950. Oye those cutouts on them ruffles don’t come cheap now, do they. But at least you can probably use this as a neckpiece hahaha 😉

Ugh my hurting wallet *sob*. The bags (all from neimanmarcus.com) above are not exactly priced to be bought without thinking *unless you have a bottomless pit of a bank account– and if you do, shower us with some of that moolah will ya? I shall be shameless in asking for ahem, blessing hahaha*. But well, how many bags are there these days that would fit a lilliputian budget anyway?

Oh oh oh! Ok so this is not meant to be an intentional shameless plug *but it’s shameless no matter what haha*, but here goes:

BARGAIN ALERT: Tresormakati.com has a bag that’s really affordable (if you’re thinking premier designer bags priced under Php 20,000).
This Louis Vuitton Bel-Air “Kelly” bag is a steal at Php 14,500. The condition is still excellent, no sticky linings! And it also comes with a shoulder strap! For that price right now, it’ll just get you a nice LV keychain *or some small hair accessories :D* 🙂 Steal! Steal!

P.S. Thanks for that observation, Pam, but alas it’s Maidenform at work *hahaha* And to trixi: please check my blog archives for the real vs. fake Hermes post.

P.P.S. Hi to Iya and to hunniebunch! *Waves* Nice to have finally met you both (on separate occasions hehe) 😉
