Many of you peeps already know Goyard Hong Kong (at the Peninsula Hotel) has ceased to exist for some time now, right? Anyway I just had to post that here because I don’t seem to recall ever mentioning it here in the past– my bad!
Anyway, onto another piece of Goyard news. The Fidji Hobo that we all love, is no longer available. (Gosh, and I love the Fidji too, sigh) Goyard has stopped producing that bag, in preparation for a new bag that they plan to launch. The next bag, I was told, will be designed and be sold by next year still.
What I am not sure about is, if they actually meant “next season” and just mistakenly said “next year”.
Because if it’s “next season”, then this is the bag that the Fidji replaces.
The Goyard Frances.
There are wooden details on the bag (where the straps on the body of the bag are), the same wood details used on all Goyard trunks. Word is this bag will be available for sale come September.
If you ask me, I think I like the Goyard Sac Le Chat/ Sac Hardy better.
They seem to look alike, non? The Frances is more structured than the Hardy, but the Hardy has more leather (note the sides of the Hardy).
