Powerful, Feminine, and Beautiful Bags at Elie Saab FW 2013

Hi everyone! I’m so sorry I had been remiss these few days. I have again been traveling, and if you are on instagram and following TheBagHag, you’d be a little more updated *so haha, shameless plug, please follow me there for my photos* 😉 I had to pack up all my things in Paris (and three weeks of clothes and other things to pack into 2 suitcases is really a nightmare as you can imagine), and am currently in freezing London so I have not been able to update the blog. Today though, I am posting photos from the Elie Saab show, the very last one to close Paris Fashion Week.

I have come to expect only the best when it comes to Elie Saab– his gowns dominate all red carpet events, so there is really little to be written up about when it comes to them because they are always spectacular and never cease to wow everyone– his style, design, always failsafe (and you will always hear glowing reviews! :D).

What I would like to do on this post however, is to highlight his accessories collection– bags and shoes!

Elie Saab has been really hitting the right notes with his bags.

Gorgeous flap bag– works for casual wear with the chain strap, and for formal affairs when chain strap is tucked in. Versatility is ke

The modern day bag. This is really so beautiful. The very “feminine” signature that is Elie Saab is evident not just on his clothes but also on his bags. This is the modern day “Kelly”. Exquisite construction, beautiful and clean lines, and very functional with that 2nd shoulder strap.

A more geometrical version of that same style. Very art deco.

Never thought I would ever say this because I was never a fan of white shoes, but Elie Saab’s white shoes are insanely sexy on the feet!

Clutched! Sraps are hidden so you can use the bag as a day clutch which is also very on- trend this year. And it does look so much chicer because it gives off a much more polished and cleaner look (because of the unseen hardwares).

When this look came out, I gasped. This is how I’d love to rock wearing all- white!! It’s such a powerful look, steeped in sharp menswear style, but it is still so sexy and all woman!

And the final walkthrough of black (red carpet looks),

chartreuse (that jacket by the way is divine!)

Elie Saab understands what a woman wants and how she wants to feel. Bravo! I cannot wait to see more bags from him!
