Of the New Pandora’s Bag and Of Miu Miu and YSL

Yay! I’m a wee bit better now, after all that medication and somewhat of a rest. I had enough energy to get my bootie off bed to pay Greenbelt 4 a visit (the mall of the financially gifted muwahaha… take note, I said I PAID A VISIT and nothing more. Alas a person like me doesn’t really belong there *bawl*). I met up with DaphP for a project meeting, but of course we had to choose Greenbelt 4 eh? 🙂 *nothing beats meeting up in style!!*

We had to pass by Louis Vuitton since yours truly was itching to see the new Monogram Dentelle Speedy. Yes, I’ve been itching to touch the revamped Pandora’s bag since I saw the bag on a shop window in Hong Kong (and I dared not ask for the price– note to self: never ask for price if you can’t afford– especially if you’re in foreign land, coz if you end up wanting the bag, no one will “bail” you out financially muwahaha… unless you’re traveling with a family member hehe).

When I asked to see the Dentelle Speedy, I was told it was on a waitlist basis (see, this is yet another indication that I am not an LV VIP– I, like everyone else, hafta wait my turn for a much coveted bag!), but the SA gladly showed me the bag. *Woohoo thank you LV peeps for accommodating this shallow baghag’s request!* Of course I can’t not take a photo (or two) of the bag because I wanted everyone else here to appreciate the intricate “lacework” stitching on the monogram canvas. If you baghags are totally into craftsmanship, then I suggest you call LV right away and ask to be on the waitlist. This is a pretty classic bag that got a little face lift (the modern face of the Pandora’s bag). And the best thing about this bag is its already darkened patina. No more worries about staining the cowhide trims and handles! This bag is already “aged” and it’s really pretty. Priced at about Php 81,500 if I’m not mistaken (thanks to the LV SA who volunteered the price– coz again I dared not ask hahaha) and special thanks to Pam who later sent me more details about the bag :). I appreciate the extra mile! I’d like this bag in gold, thank you 🙂 *muwahaha… can we bill someone for the bag, but have the bag go to moi? hehehehe weeevil shopper!!* Seriously though, I like the bag. It’s a rather delicate piece because of the stitching, but again if you have a bag in this price range, you better take care of it 🙂

We also passed by YSL and if you hags didn’t already know, they are on sale. Rumor *which was actually denied by the SAs of YSL but confirmed by someone else* has it that YSL is closing its doors to Philippine shoppers. Doesn’t really matter if true or not for the moment, because gotta tell you, there are some damn good finds there. Where else can you find hot designer shoes for below Php 5,000??? Believe me, we found one there 🙂 Bags too, are marked down to sell! The Maia bag that I was eyeing before, is still there, and is now marked down dramatically. Even I gasped at the new selling price. No more Muse bags there though. Hags hags, don’t let the bargains pass. Drop by the boutique before they say goodbye (if they are)!

Anyway, fresh from the recent mall hop, (DaphP and I went to Prada to ogle at the ruched bags… sooo nice) I am also wondering now why Miu Miu is not in town. Apparently there also is a rumor going around that Miu Miu will park its beautiful bags in Greenbelt 4! How true that is? I haven’t a clue, but oh please please do come, because we want to ogle at bags like this one too!

Miu Miu pleated leather bag. Prada and Miu Miu have been raising the bar for leather bags lately. I am saying this without prejudice (I don’t own any Prada or Miu Miu pleated or ruched bags… unless one of you is generous enough to supply me with one hahaha *talk about being uncouth and asking for freebies muwahaha* Ok I take asking for a free bag back… but if you insist on giving one, hahaha I’d be an idiot to say no 😀 muwahaha freeloaderrrrrr!!! ). *Dreamy-eyed* I’d like to own this bag… Priced at £676.60 at net-a-porter.com.

So now, you are all wondering where I’m headed this Holy Week, now that thanks to DFA, we can’t do Japan. We are going to Bangkok!! Woohoo and I sorta hooked up with my new friendly baghag ML, who happens to be going to BKK as well. And more wooowooo!! I’m getting all the shopping tips I need! *As if I have the moolah to shop anyway!* More chitchat coming soon! But first, this baghag needs sleep! I’m gonna play godmum to my goddaughter’s baptism tomorrow 🙂
