You know by now that I am a shoes and bag lady, and that clothing doesn’t always “move” me the way accessories do. Throughout the years of attending fashion weeks, I’ve come to like going to shows less. But what I always look forward to attending are the presentations and re-sees– a chance for me to look at the accessories up close.
Jimmy Choo had their presentation today, and the setup was quite clever and the space was separated into sections of a home. Think a study/ library, a living room, dining room, closet and dresser area, and a bathroom!
Sandra Choi, Choo Creative Director, figured the shoe brand has since become a household name and that showcasing this season’s collection as if it were from a home would give us all that sense of familiarity. It did. The setting was laid- back and fun, but it did not take away the attention from the collection.
Some of my favorites included pieces which highlighted this season’s direction of duality and the juxtaposition of male vs. female, with inspiration from the 90s.
This Doc Martens work boot- meets- ballet slippers done in ballet- pink velour is one of the pieces I adore!
Pointy booties with the furry pompom
Feminine closed- toe sandals with studs
Strappy ankle boots in ponyhair leopard print material
And these strappy kitten heels!
So much to love at Jimmy Choo’s presentation today 🙂 Watch my full video walkthrough of the collection on www.facebook.com/thebaghag
Tell me how you find the collection! Would love to hear what you like!
Til the next blog post 🙂
