MFW SS 2013: Tod’s New and Modified Bags

Today was a craaaazy loooong day which began at 10am and went on until a few hours ago. I was literally running from one venue to another and I was honestly grateful to have the Tod’s Miky bag throughout the day– having a big bag for fashion week is really a must. Let me reiterate that I’m not a style blogger (haha I’m more like a wannabe style blogger :D), but while I had initial reservations about carrying a large bag, I ended up wanting begging to carry a large bag.

I could no longer risk my camera “flailing” around and hitting people and in the process getting hit. I have carried the Tod’s Miky thoroughly today and I can actually tell you that this bag is a lot more useful than my Tod’s D bag (my fail- safe travel bag) 😀

I was carrying this bag as well when I went to Tod’s presentation this afternoon. My top picks included this new D bag shape (notice the difference between this new one and the classic D bag?) in this buttery soft leather which for some fascinating reason, is also very, very light.

A closeup of the leather of the bag– you must see. It’s textured calfskin leather, but I can’t for the life of me figure out why this is so light! It’s incredible!

And then of course this is just as intriguing, the newest bag (actually this is not a new style– it was derived from an older piece and redesigned to make it more au courant). I believe this is called the Kate.

The bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap too 🙂

Here are more photos of Tod’s latest bags for Spring Summer 2013.

I will make individual posts about the bags, don’t worry– naturally I dedicate full posts to bags I really love (or really dislike). In this case– Tod’s bags are as always, a favorite– tried and tested.
