MFW SS 2013: Salvatore Ferragamo’s New Edge

In recent years, Ferragamo has upped its game in the fashion stakes and this Spring Summer 2013 collection was a design coup for the brand. Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti kept it young, fresh, and luxurious with his use of leather and exotic skins.  A predominant piece in the collection– his interpretation of the trenchcoat. It was a very classy- edgy collection that has won a lot of showgoers (myself included) over.

The hobo bag got me intrigued as it had hardware detailing on the spine of the bag.

Details, details, details! The craftsmanship of Ferragamo is evident in this bag– and on the pantalons!

I was especially floored with the exotic skin over-the-knee open- toe boots which were actually open laced-up in the back.

It was really so sexy. I’m sure if Salvatore were alive today, he’d definitely be nodding his head in approval!
